Ana Ortiz In Christopher Kane – Variety’s 5th Annual Power of Women Event

Ana Ortiz In Christopher Kane - Variety's 5th Annual Power of Women Event

Ana Ortiz attended Variety’s 5th Annual Power of Women event held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Friday evening.

The ‘Devious Maids’ star opted for a summery frock wearing a Christopher Kane Resort 2013 feminine silk-organza dress with a typically cool blend of elegance and edge; featuring black brushstrokes and bright-blue flowers which makes for a striking combination.

She emphasized the full-skirted cut with sky-high heels, but I wish they were sandals instead of pumps.

I like the dress a lot especially the brushstroke/flower pattern but agree sandals work so much better.

From the ankles up, this is a great look. Sandals were def. needed.

I would love to see the lookbook version on Kiernan Shipka.

I really like the dress, but there always seems something to be off in the styling of it. I’d still give this to Rosamund I think although Nicola’s shoe-choice has since grown on me. As for Ana, she looks nice, but I prefer the lookbook version of the dress and the shoes are a tad heavy.

The bodice fit is awkward — the straps needed to be brought up some as they are gaping & it would have also lifted the chest area up to a better spot.
I don’t know her height but she also looks very short in this.

I prefer the lookbook version but the print is beautiful. The shoes are a little heavy.

To me this is how to kill a beautiful and fashion forward Christopher Kane dress and make it look so ordinary :(

My thoughts exactly! Why on earth do designers allow their work to be butchered like that? Oh yeah, I forgot…$$$.
