Anna Dello Russo In Anthony Vaccarello – ‘Mademoiselle C’ Party

Anna Dello Russo In Anthony Vaccarello - 'Mademoiselle C' Party

Anna Dello Russo attended the ‘Mademoiselle C’ cocktail party held at Pavillon Ledoyen in Paris during fashion week yesterday evening.

The editor and street-style star wore her second Anthony Vaccarello dress within a week, this time snagging a Spring 2014 look fresh off the runway.

Last time out, she wore a risqué dress during the day to sit front row at Dries van Noten; this time the event is more appropriate, but I don’t know how I feel about seeing where Anna’s tan lines end via that waist-high slit lined with gold buttons.

Tom Ford metallic-gold gladiator boots, a gold cuff and signature sleek straight tresses completed her look.

    No. Just no.

SHE is trying too hard. Once again!!
I feel these dress and boots are only appropriate for a female roman gladiator who is about to fight against a beast in the colosseum

I’m sure there are other ladies out there interesting enough to deserve a post at this site. Seriously, no more of ADR half naked pictures.

I might be the only one who has no interest to care about her looks like ever. But this is a good thing to evaluate my life that there’s also someone who is bold enough out there to take a risk by travelling with time machine (I mean thru dresses), as she was a teenage girl or something. Oh, life.

I have no personal understanding of this fact, but this just doesn’t bother me, really. I feel almost guilty, even as I type this, b/c it’s against my better judgment, but somehow AdR just gets a permanent pass from me. She’s almost like a cartoon carachter rather than a real person. I dunno.

Anthony Vaccarello is a designer of our trashy reality TV culture. So is the personality of ADR. So are the clothes sent down on a Saint Laurent runway. All of these objects, shows and personalities sell and drive viewership. But it doesn’t mean they’re good. It’s pretty pointless to debate their merits. They are here to stay for sure. Until the next cultural new wave, that is.

This woman shouldn’t show even her knees, why she expose her hips?
where are her sense of style and her good taste?

  8. kane October 2, 2013 at 21:58 #

Not even the ADR benefit of the doubt can save this.

Ugh this woman – she really needs to stop; she is the personification of mutton dressed as lamb imo. Plus she needs to get over herself, I can smell the TRY from here.

    worst dress of the year

Perhaps her looks are supposed to be tongue-in-cheek but she is becoming an object of pity to me. I have certainly seen enough of her try-hard, grasping attempts to capture the camera’s eye.

Right??? She’s trying way too hard recently. Not sure when her “style” crossed from interesting to tacky, with wisps of desperate wafting through. I get she likes to push the fashion envelope, but right about now, I’m wishing she would just stop!

    • AnderBoBo October 2, 2013 at 16:47 #

I agree. I have always appreciated her unique sense of personal style, and while I do feel like anybody should wear whatever they want her looks as of late do reek of desperation. Also I can’t think of a single event where these dress would be appropriate, maybe a strip club opening?

She used to delight me with her attitude and quirky fashion sense, but now she just turns me off…..

Oh, please don’t post more pics of half naked ladies of a certain age…

The fact she’s such a “fashion icon” is still a mystery to me. WHY? How the hell can this be “Fashion”? This is trashy, age-inappropriate and even vulgar. Being risky and innovative doesn’t mean you need to be indecent!

    • Magdalena October 2, 2013 at 20:35 #

She’s an icon because there was a time where her outfits were crazy good. Now they’re crazy bad. What a shame.

  14. Anne October 2, 2013 at 15:01 #

In my mind there is NO event for which this dress is appropriate. It’s not sexy; it’s trashy regardless of age or toned body. I will also never get over these Tom Ford boots. To me, they will always look like the wearer is trying to make the best of an ACL tear.

    • becca October 2, 2013 at 15:37 #

ITA… +1 about the ACL tear too. These boots are heinous

    • Rebecca Z October 2, 2013 at 16:06 #

You said it. This picture caused me to gasp when I saw it and not in a good way. How grotesque.

      • EmmaWoodhouse October 5, 2013 at 22:01 #

I am in TOTAL agreement with all of you. What a horrendously trashylook.

  15. Yeliz October 2, 2013 at 15:00 #

Tacky, bad and age inappropriate as always.

        Agreed x million

It’s pretty trashy. I’m starting to develop a distaste for her that’s kind of inexplicable.
