Olivia Palermo In Chloé – ‘Chloe Attitudes’ Book Launch Celebration

Olivia Palermo In Chloé - 'Chloe Attitudes' Book Launch Celebration

Olivia Palermo attended the ‘Chloe Attitudes’ book launch celebration which took place on Friday evening during Paris Fashion Week.

The seasoned FROWer opted to wear a Chloe Fall 2013 look which consisted of a simple black top styled with a heavenly white tulle polka-dot skirt with asymmetrical layers, which you may remember was recently worn by Zhang Ziyi.

Even with plenty of texture courtesy of the skirt, she didn’t shy away when it came to her choice of accessories, adding tri-colour Manolo Blahnik ‘Amiela’ pumps and a black-and-white splatter-paint Dior clutch, which she carried while taking her front row seat at the Spring 2014 show last week.

Tousled tresses and a glossy pink pout completed her look.

I’m quite intrigued by the effect of the skirt. Makes me think of winter though.

Coming back to this… there is something that bothers me about the top half. This slightly bulky top and then all the voluminous waves falling onto it. I come to think that it looks sharper on the model and different hair might have served Olivia slightly better.

I really like this look. That skirt is so pretty.

She is making the skirt work. I like it.

I generally like the look, but the skirt would be even better if it didn’t have such a wide waistband. Also, I prefer the boots in the runway look, they toughen up a girly skirt, the kind of combination that I find appealing.

Olivia could wear a paper bag and still look fashionable and stylish. I love the outfit, but I just can’t bring myself to love the hair. Straight locks would have made this a 10/10.

I love everything but the hair.

While I often like combination of frilly and casual, this time it doesn’t work for me–either on Olivia or on the model. But I do love her shoes and clutch.

    Love to see her more!!

She wore it so much than Zhang Ziyi. Love this!

I like her style, but this skirt is a great piece, but she had to do something with that hair.

Perfection. One of my favorites looks from this season of PFW

Interesting combo but I don’t think it’s working very well, don’t care for the skirt much, it doesn’t look that pretty to me. The clutch goes well, I like the shoes but they don’t really go, just look completely disconnected, would’ve preferred a simpler, more toned down hairstyle (even a sleek bun).

This is the second time I think this look doesn’t translate well off the runaway. And the hair is just too much.

Great look! The only thing I would change is the hair…she should’ve put it up. But apart from that, she seems to be back in top form!

For me, the worst part of this is the shoes. They are just so out of place here. Let me tell you, though, Yasmin Sewell wore the skirt in the navy/black combo, and it looked so amazingly styled, that it kind of ruins my opinion of it on anyone else.

    • Banx October 1, 2013 at 18:03 #

Agree, love the skirt but the shoes don’t match but they’re nice on their own. Have to find the Yasmin Sewell picture, sounds sweet.

It feels rather cluttered to me. the skirt needed to be paired with simple, light pieces imo.
