Dakota Fanning In Elie Saab Couture – ‘Night Move’ Rio International Film Festival Premiere

Datoka Fanning In Elie Saab Couture - ‘Night Move’ Rio International Film Festival Premiere

After attending the ‘Night Moves’ photocall on Saturday morning, Dakota Fanning graced the red carpet for the 2013 Rio International Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro later that same evening.

With her hair swept up into a chic chignon, the young actress wore an Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture wine-coloured draped chiffon gown with a fitted bodice, a flowing skirt, and a draped detail falling from the shoulder.

Looking more grown up than I have seen her in a while, Dakota accessorized with matching Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals and a gold bracelet.

This rich autumnal colour works wonders against her pale skin, especially when matched with that dark-red lip colour.

I totally agree. This would so much better on someone else who has the presence on the red carpet, sadly Dakota doesn’t.

Now, THIS is a look that works for her. A simple dress in a great colour for her and a simple updo can do wonders!

The gown is beautiful, gorgeous rich colour and delicate flowing skirt, but can’t help but wish someone with more natural grace and elegance had rocked it.

Love. This. Gown. The color and hair are great. I can overlook the orangey blush. Kinda agree with Rebecca Z though, the whole is less than the sum of the parts.

Glad she tied up her hair. But think the gown might look better on someone with greater presence. Would love to see it on Zhang Yuqi.

I’m just disappointed. This dress is stunning, but it’s not right for her. It’s too mature. I’m so glad she did something with her hair, but it just doesn’t help to elevate this look. Beautiful dress, beautiful young lady, but the combo of the two is less than memorable.

I love it on Jac on the runway and would have loved this more on Penelope Cruz, Jessica Chastain or Jessica Alba, Catherine Zeta Jones – pretty much any woman with maturity and with presence.
