Following her head scratcher from the previous day, Anna Dello Russo was back on fine form taking to her playground with four separate looks in one day.
While you are saying “who’s got that kinda time?”, let’s dissect the looks.
Balenciaga: Anna kick-started her day wearing a leather Celine Pre-Fall 2013 mini dress styled with both the oversized Celine belt and the dual-colour lace-up flatforms that this look was styled with in the look book. Adding her own creativity, she styled the look with a straw boater, a black clutch and a Lanvin ‘Happy’ gold necklace.
Balmain: For quick-change number two she wore a floral Valentino Fall 2012 flirty frock with contrasting white collar and cuffs. This is my least favourite of the looks as it is far too twee for Anna. She should leave this for the likes of Miroslava Duma. Also, the styling doesn’t work for me. Not the bag and especially not the shoes.
Lanvin: By nightfall, Anna really got into her stride. She wore a head-to-toe perfect look, mixing a Lanvin Fall 2013 strapless butterfly-print dress with a contrasting black-and-nude ponyskin belt which I find really enticing. Plus she went the distance adding an opulent necklace, a two-tone clutch and black strappy sandals.
Moncler Dinner: While most probably went from the Lanvin show to the Moncler party without passing ‘Go’, Anna nipped back to her hotel for her fourth and final look of the day. Possibly saving the best for last, she put on her silver sparkling heels to dazzle partygoers in her fresh-off-the-runway Fendi Spring 2014 look, which featured a crystal-embroidered mini skirt and a sheer top with broken-effect red pieces.
The evening looks are preferred over the day looks. I think I slightly favour the Lanvin over the Fendi, but only by half a per cent.
