Taylor Swift In Reem Acra – ‘Romeo & Juliet’ LA Premiere

Taylor Swift In Reem Acra - 'Romeo & Juliet' LA Premiere

Taylor Swift joined her friend Hailee Steinfeld by attending the premiere of her movie ‘Romeo & Juliet’ held at ArcLight Hollywood in California yesterday evening.

Being the support artist on this occasion, Taylor’s love for embellishments and gowns with a flowing train took a back seat.

She even dug deep to the far reaches of her closet to find this Reem Acra Spring 2010 beige floral-print dress, which she wore with nude Christian Louboutin kitten heels so as not to upstage her BFF.

Seeing as her dress is almost vintage (I kid), she styled her look with a retro ‘do and her signature red lips.

I’m surprised she didn’t opt for the red belt.

I like the simplicity and the vintage feel of the dress, but for some reason the dress doesn’t feel right for Taylor. She is a bit older for the dress imo.

ITA. If you ask me, she still hasn’t found the right balance between too sweet and too sexy.

I tend to agree. There is something about it that feels off.

The shoes are awful and the dress looks like an old tapestry !

ITA. I also think that this is a very aging look.

I’m sorry but what does ITA mean ?
        I’m french.

              LOL. Agreed.

I love Taylor but this feels wrong. The dress looks cute and flirty on the runway but it’s giving her a frumpish look. I also don’t like the shoes and the hair. It would have been better if you couldn’t make out her bangs.

She looks really nice, I like the over all look. Very thoughtful of her to wear kitten heels so as not to tower over Hailee, if that was the reason.

I thought the very same thing, but it looks like we are in the minority. I think she looks tons better than the model! I don’t see what is wrong with kitten heels either, esp if you’re tall, like me. I get tired of towering over everybody, and I think kitten heels can be very chic, and obviously more comfortable. (Not that comfort counts for anything. Pain is beauty, after all. :-) )

    Mom alert!

I love this look very much! It’s soft vintage chic and suits her famously.

    I think she looks dowdy.

So aging and just downright boring. Terrible shoes and her bangs pushed to the side like look wrong.

Glad she didn’t wear the red belt. It’s too much. Maybe a thin, neutral color belt would have worked.

i know Taylor is into the retro look but this is just boring and twee. The dress is average at best and the grandma shoes aren’t helping. I do like her hair

“R&J” is supposed to be a “retro thing”, it’s based on one of the most famous classical literatures…so I understand her choice, and I think the dress looks better on her than on the model.but I think her hair and shoes are not right for her.

I love what she did with her bangs. Instead of pinning them back or leaving them in front, she kept them straight yet swept to the side so they’d look like part of the swoop. I think this is a very appropriate look considering she wasn’t involved with the movie and was just there to support Hailee. It’s simple but pretty and evokes a vintage feel.

I like the dress, however I think it needs some sort of metallic belt. Not a big fan of satin kitten heels, either. I would have done some red shoes.
