Best Dressed, Blog, Emmy Awards
Where is Connie Britton? She was my fave!
Oh, man. Tough decision. Overall, I didn’t love the looks from the Emmy’s, but I thought it was one of the more interesting RC from this specific show in quite some time.
BUt the girls I liked, I really, really, really liked: Michelle Dockery, January Jones, Rose Byrne and Padma Lakshmi were my favorite. I voted for Michelle, because it’s the best she’s ever looked, but I’m not sure if I really made the right decision.
1. Rose Byrne
2. Elisabeth Moss
3. Michelle Dockery
4. Kiernan Shipka
5. Kate Mara
6. Allison Williams
7. Kerry Washington
I thought Elisabeth Moss looked really good too.
This was a hard one. If I had to pick my number #1 Hands down, Kerry Washington in the Marchesa. I was floored with that look. Especially since not liking her recent red carpet looks and Marchesa. I was impressed. She knocked it out the ball park.
My number #2 is Rose Byrne who is definitely in my BDOTY list. She was stunning. Perfection.
Followed by Christina Hendricks and Tina Fey. Lovely, incredible looks.
A few looks in this selection look disappointing to me.
missing Kaley Cuoco.
Yes! I’m missing Kaley Cuoco and Leslie Mann! But my vote definitely goes to Rose Byrne.
I thought Allison Janney was stunning and would be in the list too. Otherwise, I’d say Michelle Dockery.
My favorites are the first 3 in the bottom row. Ultimately, I went with Michelle Dockery because it is the most memorable for me- in style, styling and color. It’s totally unique.
But bravo to Ms Hendricks for embracing the bombshell she is with a great look, and kudos to Ms Byrne for making a simple so chic.
Hmm, there were better choices than some of these. January’s dress is bland and boring.
I loved Christina Hendricks & Elisabeth Moss.
I think Allison Williams, Michelle Dockery, Kaley Cuoco, Leslie Mann and Kate Mara, but not exactly in that order.
Alyson Hannigan is just so-so. In her place I would love to have seen Elisabeth Moss. I thought she looked amazing. For me it was a tie between Rose and Christina. I gave the edge to Christina because Rose has an easy body to dress and would look good in anything, though she does knock it out of the park in this sleek CK number. It is much more challenging to dress Christina and she never looked better.
Elisabeth Moss (if she’d been on the list)
Claire Danes by a mile. No idea why she isn’t on this list. She is the only one who really brought some couture to the red carpet.
I really liked her dress but I couldn’t get past her unattractive chest. A lot of people had a problem with that if you read the comments for her
From this list, Rose Byrne. I’m missing Tina Fey, though.
And Kaley Cuoco.
Where is Heidi Klum in Versace??? She was the best dressed at the Emmys hands down!!
1. Rose Byrne
2. Michelle Dockery
3. Linda Cardellini
4. Kate Mara
5. Allison Williams/Tina Fey
6. Christina Hendricks
7. Leslie Mann
8. Kaley Cuoco
my best dressed were zooey deschanel, cobie smulders and kaley cuoco.
This is so tough ! This year was a very interesting and dressed to perfection red carpet Emmy.
As always you, Emily and Rachel blogged till wee hours to get us updated, you girls are d best! Thanks for the coverage FC!
Missing two of my favorites–Elizabeth Moss and Anna Gunn from Breaking Bad–not even on the site (I think).
Elizabeth Moss and Tina Fey were simply gorgeous and Anna Gunn is on my BDOTY along with Rose Byrne. Seriously, look up AG.
A hard decision…my favorites of the night were:
(The Best in no particular order) Julie Bowen in Zac Posen, Kerry Washington in Marchesa, Emilia Clarke in Donna Karan, Laura Dern in Naeem Khan,
Christina Hendricks in Christian Siriano, Michelle Dockery in Prada, Elizabeth Moss in Andrew Gn
(The Great in no particular order)Kiernan Shipka in Delpozo, Linda Cardellini in Donna Karan, Carrie Underwood in Romona Keveza, Allison Williams in Ralph Lauren, Ariel Winter in Lorena Sarbu, Mayim Bialik in Oliver Tolentino, Connie Britton in Naeem Khan, Mindy Kaling in Georges Chakra
(The Worst in no particular order) Lena Dunham, Zosia Mamet, Amanda Peet, Aubrey Plaza, Julianne Hough, Vera Farmiga, Kate Mara, Lily Rabe, Lena Headey.
Biggest disappointments were January Jones, Claire Danes, and Rose Byrne (at least for me).
Great coverage as always! As you can tell from this obsessive list I really enjoyed it and followed it every step of the way!
best rcfa day ever
I know everyone else hated the bust fit but Claire Danes was my favourite.
I liked Rose Byrne best because she wasn’t trying too hard. Her boyfriend was nominated, not her. She showed people who you wear simple Calvin Klein. The soft pink color looked pretty on her.
Allison Williams blew me away the first time I saw her in her heavenly Ralph Lauren electric blue gown! She’s dazzling!
Silver medal for January Jones in Givenchy and Kerry Washington in Marchesa, bronze for Rose Byrne in Calvin Klein.
Mindy Kaling was my best-dressed, followed by Christina Hendricks (who I voted for). I thoroughly enjoyed FC and team’s great coverage.
My top5 are
As neither my top1 or 2 made it into the poll, I’ll vote for my honourable mention, Kiernan, who just makes everything work she sets her mind to, whether I like it or not. And she’s only 13! How awesome will her style be when she’s 25? You go, girl!
My best dressed would be
Thanks for your great coverage, as always!!
There were a lot of great looks on this Red Carpet, but for me there wasn’t a breathtaking moment. January and Rose both looked great but a little bit washed out, the same for Kate Mara. After a lot of thinking I voted for Christina as I think this is the best she has ever looked despite the fact it’s pretty much a dejavu case.
My picks: Kerry Washington, Michelle Dockery, Kaley Cuoco, Sofia Vergara, Kate Mara, Jessica Pare (her dress was a stunning color), Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tina Fey.
Everyone looked good but I am missing the WOW-worthy gown this year….
It feels strange to vote for Christina Hendricks in a best dressed poll, but she really did look perfect for the first time ever, so I had to vote for her.
1.) Kerry Washington
2.) Allison Williams
3.) Rose Byrne
4.) Emilia Clarke
5.) Leslie Mann
6.) Zooey Deschanel
7.) Sarah Paulson
8.) Malin Ackerman
9.) Cobie Smulders
10.) Jessica Pare
Thank you FC and all the writers for your amazing and timely coverage! Must have been tough covering so many looks in such a short period of time. Keep up the good work!
I voted for the adorable Kiernan.
I was really disappointed by this RC, to be honest. My top 5:
1. Kaley Cuoco
2. Julianne Hough
3. Morena Baccarin
4. Tina Fey
5. Cobie Smulders
Thanks so much for the coverage FC and team! As soon as the show was over, I came check the site that never ever disappoints. You guys are great.
I would have wanted to see Morena Baccarin here, she looked so romantic and beautiful!
Tina Fey was my best dressed.
I would have voted for Elisabeth Moss. Oh well.
I loved Jessica Pare. She looked soft and beautiful in that lovely blue.
Tough call. But my list would be like this:
1. Michelle Dockery – hands down!
2. Allison Williams – beautiful!
3. January Jones
4. Kate Mara
5. Kerry Washington
6. Kiernan Shipka
7. Claire Danes
8. Rose Byrne
9. Elisabeth Moss
10. Emilia Clarke
I found most of these looks one-note apart from Kiernan (cute) and Michelle (awful). Standout for me was Julianna
Claire Danes and Aubrey Plaza are my faves
Here I go voting for a 13 y.o. as best dressed at the Emmys. Also, I really enjoyed Christina Hendricks, Rose Byrne and Tina Fey on this red carpet.
as much as many do not like claire danes.. she was my definite favourite of the night..
Mine is claire danes but she is not in the list. Why?
My best dressed are:
1. Rose Byrne
2. Emilia Clarke
3. Anna Gunn
4. Julianna Margulies
5. Sarah Paulson
6. Kerry Washington
7. Allison Williams
8. Michelle Dockery
9. Linda Cardellini
10. Taylor Schilling
My two favorites Claire Danes and Heidi Klum aren’t in the selection, so I voted for Allison Williams because it’s her best look yet.
It was a difficult choice because there were many great looks in the poll. I voted for Katie Aselton in Azzaro, but I also wanted to vote for Alisson Williams, Padma Lakshmi and Michelle Dockery.
Where is Tina Fey?!
She was my absolute favourite! she WOWED me from the start and nobody was able to top that after
wondering why Mindy Kaling wasn’t on this list. she looked amazing. need more indian girls on television!
WHERE IS ANNA GUNN?? That Romona Keveza dress was flawless.
I’ve said it a billion times, too! She looked better than anyone here.
Where is Claire Danes? Her Armani gown was gorgeous!
My bad! I should’ve shouted out for my favourites by commenting cause they’re not on the list! I loved Claire Danes and Colbie Smulders.
Out of this lot Alison Williams stands out by far: stunning colour and regal pose!
Alyson Hannigan? is dress is just awful
Allison Williams? boring
January Jones? his dress was made of curtains, the only think that was good is his hair.
Christina Hendrick? she alwats look the same.
You’re best dressed list this year disappoint me, i think other actress looks so much better.
Allison Williams wins this by a landslide.
I don’t understand why so many people like Rose Byrne’s look. It’s just a pale blob.
I totally agree. Its boring and bland. It seems to be a trend on this site. Pick the most typical dress there is.
Where is Claire Danes? I thought she was stunning!
I missed Julie Bowen in Zac Posen. I found it stuck with me/made the biggest impression. As for the poll, I voted for Rose Byrne, as she was simply chic and polished. I also loved Kerry Washington, Anna Gunn, Sofia Vergara, Leslie Mann, Kate Mara, Kaley Cuoco, Rocsi Diaz, and Giuliana Rancic.
Thank you to all who worked so hard on the excellent coverage of this event. You make it so much more fun to red carpet watch.
Crap, I forgot about Morena Baccarin. She was stunning as well.
