Princess Claire Of Luxembourg Married HRH Prince Felix of Luxembourg In Elie Saab Couture

Wedding Of Prince Felix Of Luxembourg & Claire Lademacher : Reception At 'Couvent Royal'

While all eyes were on the 2013 Emmy Awards this weekend, a Royal wedding was taking place at the Basilique Sainte Marie-Madeleine on Saturday in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, France.

Claire Lademacher (now Princess Claire Of Luxembourg) married HRH Prince Felix of Luxembourg wearing an Elie Saab Haute Couture wedding dress which the designer created especially for the occasion.

Entirely made and embroidered by hand in the designer’s Haute Couture ateliers, the bridal gown’s design took its inspiration from the idea of an Ode to Delicateness.

The royal wedding dress was made of Chantilly lace embroidered with cream-and-silver silk-thread leaf motifs and embellished with translucent crystals and mother-of-pearl sequins.

The veil was made of ivory silk-tulle decorated with neo-baroque leaf motifs, echoing the embroidery patterns on the gown. The train was three metres long.

The groom wore a classic morning suit in three shades of grey with a blue tie. Pinned on his lapel is the miniature of the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau.
