Connie Britton In Naeem Khan – 2013 Emmy Awards

Connie Britton

Connie Britton looked elegant as she walked the red carpet of the 2013 Emmy Awards.

The ‘Nashville’ star and nominee wore a velvet column Naeem Khan gown.

The dress definitely stood out from the pack with it’s texture and color, and while it was  risk, I think Connie nailed it with this choice for the night.

There is also a reason that Connie’s hair is almost as famous as the star itself, and tonight is proof–those locks are flawless!

Tan skin, subtle makeup and a metallic manicure further Connie’s winning look.

Perfectly coordinated Stuart Weitzman ‘Isis’ clutch and Cathy Waterman jewelry completed her ensemble.

I heart Connie Britton so hard. I think the color is great and love that the dress is in season.

How elegant and unexpected! Some may think it too heavy but I really like it. The colors are rich!

It looks rich on the runway but it’s not translating well on the red carpet. Especially in photos. It looks rather gimmicky.

      Yeah, neither is her tan.

I wish her version wasn’t velvet. The color and the way it’s styled is fantastic, but the dress is just not flattering for her body type.

I love this. She definitely stood out. Love the color. Love the velvet. Love the hair.

I love everything from the shoulders up. I simply don’t get velvet in the September LA heat.

I adore Connie but this is worst dressed material, right up there with Amanda Peet. Connie’s styling is certainly better but you’ve got to be kidding me with this dress.

I love Naeem Khan, however, I find this gown so ugly. Not even her hair looks good with it, and her hair looks good with pretty much everything.

I respect that she not afraid to step outside, but I do think the material is a bit heavy for her and for the event :(. Love Connie so much, so it’s hurts me to say that LOL. waiting for her next RC run…

the color looks too washed out here, it’s like an old carpet. I would have loved it if it were a vibrant blue or green but here no. I do appreciate the risk- taking outfit

Her body looks so shapeless in this gown. Plus, I really don’t like velvet. Her hair is gorgeous though, nothing new there.

It’s the velvet that kills this look for me. She looks amazing, hair is perfection, makeup is so pretty and the colors of this gown are so flattering for her, but it’s velvet. Velvet?? Really?? It’s too hot, to sunny, too LA for velvet.

Beautiful, elegant and unique. I like this a lot.

Am I the only one who thinks she looks like an adult version of Merida, from Brave? Even the dress looks like Merida’s.
