Aubrey Plaza In Marios Schwab – 2013 Emmy Awards

Aubrey Plaza In Marios Schwab - 2013 Emmy Awards

Aubrey Plaza was one of the first to hit the red carpet at the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards held today at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress covered up in a shadowy Marios Schwab gown from the Resort 2014 collection. The lacy number featured a top-to-toe nude lining, which was originally conceived in a black per the lookbook and would have been my preference.

Craftsy-style black ribbon appliques and colourful, bloom-like embellishments crawled up the sleeves and surrounded the high neckline, so I’m glad she wore an updo to prevent any additional clutter.

A JustFab box clutch, along with Rupert Sanderson ‘Hydra’ heels and Neil Lane earrings and statement rings, added more glam factor to the gown.

Part dominatrix, part little House on the Prairie.

      I agree 100%.

Haha, the shyest dominatrix in history, but I like it (your comment, not the dress).

      Yeah don’t like this.

She looks like she’s in a low-budget period film.

      LOL, totally agree.

    my favourite tonight! (by far…)

    Not liking this. Dull.

This might be one of my favorites of the night. It isn’t to my taste, but I feel like it’s so well suited to her personality. It’s kind of Dominatrix/Sister wife, and it really works on her. Plus, she looks happy and comfortable – which she usually doesn’t on the red carpet, so that goes a long way towards it working.

Ok, this is a totally random comment. Mentions of a dominatrix and “dull” in the comments above makes me think of “Sherlock” BBC. I’m probably the only Sherlockian here, so ignore my nerdery 😉
To which I say this look: “You lower the IQ of the whole red carpet.”
Non nerdery: I don’t like this look. It’s frumpy.

The more I look at it, the more it grows on me, kind of like the flora growing on her dress, I suppose. I’ll never love it, but it’s not quite as bad as my initial impression led me to believe.

Don’t like at all. She also needs better support up front.

This is my second favorite, after the fabulous Rose Byrne. It really suits her, and is different from the strapless satin brigade

Agree 100%, the rest are too boring (except Amanda Peet)

    This dress needs more leather.
