Kerry Washington In Giambattista Valli – BAFTA LA TV Tea Party

Kerry Washington In Giambattista Valli - BAFTA LA TV Tea 2013

After a rare and disappointing misstep the last time out, I was happy to see Kerry Washington back on form while attending the BAFTA LA TV Tea Party presented by BBC America and Audi held at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday evening.

Like Allison Williams, Kerry wore a pretty floral frock from Giambattista Valli Resort 2014 collection which featured a black banded waist.

Matching croc-bronzed Jean-Michel Cazabat ‘Emma’ pumps, a Nancy Gonzalez clutch, and gold House of Lavande earrings, a chic half-up, half-down hairstyle completed her look.

The only thing I would change about this look is the waistband. I would either make it thinner, or remove it all together.

I only like her shoes and bag.

I like the pumps more than the dress.

A narrow bronze belt? Yes please! That would have elevate this look so much…I still like it but the waistband displeases me.

  • Nat39

The wide black waistband is way too harsh, it dominates the look and only makes her appear thicker, needed to be more delicate not to overpower the pretty florals of the dress so badly.

I agree. It makes her appear boxy, just like her last (horrendous) look, and we know she’s far from that! I do love her bronze accessories, her amazing makeup, and perfect mani.

  • Yeliz

I would remove the waistband all together, it was unnecessary. The rest is beautiful, I love the floral print and the gold accessories.

  • Angela

I actually love this look, even with the waistand. Kerry looks so sweet and I love her hair and makeup.

  • Alina

    I don’t mind the waistband.

This is the Kerry I know and love.

The waistband is ruining the look. It was not necessary imo.

It’s the opposite of ‘necessary’! This waistband needs to stop making appearances before it’s becoming a trend, ah!
