Paloma Faith also hit the front-row sevearl times during London Fashion Week over the weekend. Her over-the-top, eccentric style had no danger of being in short supply, either.

Julien Macdonald: The British songstress set a fittingly glam tone at the Julien Macdonald show in a slinky white, one-shoulder gown with spidery gold sequin detail crawling down the statement sleeve. To go with the slit-to-there gown? Metallic-gold platform pumps and a wide-brimmed hat, which actually didn’t match the mood of the dress, but checked the quirky Paloma box.

Ashish: Sparkling with plenty of personality and pizazz the singer donned a salmon sequin show-stopper with wearing her flame lock down which on most would upstage her look, but it just adds to the theatrics here.

Vivienne Westwood Red Label: Pouring on the funky appeal, Paloma paid homage to Vivienne in head-to-toe plaid with a mannish green-and-blue suit. The bold moves continued with her gold platform pumps and neon cotton candy-pink lip, whilst she skipped a hat in exchange for a pile of fiery red-orange locks twisted atop her head.

The hat was utterly unnecessary besides being plain rude at a fashion show.

      ditto.

      Were you sat behind her?

She suffers the same sort of stagnant style as somebody like Dita. None of these looks are bad but they aren’t exactly memorable either in her cannon of over the top outfits.

This is all too OTT. I’m not liking anything here.

I have to say this is absolutely genious!! Her drama never ends and I love she is always on character!

The first look would’ve worked without the stupid hat. I don’t like the rest.

    I like the 2nd and 3rd looks.

Everything is overdone and overly theatrical.

I like elements of each look, but not any of them entirely. The first would’ve worked w/o the OTT hat. The second is way too long, as are the pants on the third. I like the second look for her, if it were shorter, as I said, and her hair could have been better–up. The third look bothers me a touch b/c of the way the white blouse sticks out in an odd place and the pants bunch, and the purple clashing lip color, and…no, just kidding, that’s it.

with the exception of the hat, i love, love all three looks. i’m REALLY surprised that ashish, who designed those awful half jeans and half sweatpants could even turn out with anything that i would like so much.

(to be fair, i’ve just seen miley cyrus wearing half trousers and half leggings, which half of that is also entirely sheer to the waist and that’s much, much worse than half trousers/half sweatpants combo)

Thank goodness for her! I think musicians should always bring drama to their ensembles, and Faith never disappoints on that score. And fortunately, she has good taste to boot.
