Katharine McPhee In Georges Hobeika Couture – 2013 Creative Emmy Awards

Katharine McPhee In Georges Hobeika Couture - 2013 Creative Emmy Awards

Katharine McPhee took to the red carpet yesterday evening at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California for the 2013 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

The beautiful ‘Smash’ actress looked radiant wearing a Georges Hobeika Spring 2013 Couture powder pink gown, featuring a lace, sleeveless top exquisitely embroidered with white flower motifs adorned by silver and pink pearls and Swarovski crystals.

Norman Silverman ear cuffs added an unexpected edge to her look, yet they didn’t detract from all the sophistication of her gorgeous look.

Wavy brunette locks and a bright red lip shade provided the finishing touches to Katharine’s look.

Are you blown away?

She looks great ! I love her make up and the dress fits her perfectly.
My only complaint here is about the bra, I wish the top was lined so we don’t have to see her bra !

ITA The lack of lining cheapens this beautiful dress and distracts from her over all elegant presentation.

      100% agree.

    • dee September 16, 2013 at 18:34 #

      I agree.

    Gorgeous!

Although I wish that the top was lined, I still love this look. She looks stunning.

      +1. My thoughts exactly!

    Stunning, really sophisticated!

    LOVE this.

I love the look. I don’t mind the lack of lining since it isn’t wildly obvious. My complaint is the makeup doesn’t match the softness of the entire look. The bold lip clashes and is very distracting to me.

    • kane September 16, 2013 at 17:57 #

I see your point, but if I compare it too the runway version, I find the bold lip quite interesting and edgy.

      • kane September 16, 2013 at 17:57 #

        “to” of course.

I’m getting mildly distracted by the outline of the bra, but this is too lovely for me to be too annoyed about it.

My complaint is the hair, would’ve much preferred it pulled back/up in a more elegant style.

  9. amy September 16, 2013 at 19:13 #

    lovely

I cannot get past the unlined top. its too bad she looked very pretty. her hair looks great but I do not like the red lip with pink dress, would have preferred a cherry hue.

Absolutely stunning!! One of my favorite looks ever for her. Despite the bra, which I don’t think is THAT obvious, this is a knockout!!

  12. KatieKate September 16, 2013 at 22:57 #

I also believe this is the best I have ever seen her. At first I thought, ‘yeah, she looks pretty, but I’m not blown away’, as you asked. But, upon .looking at the additional pictures, I am blown to smithereens! I love everything, even if I’m the only one. Love the hair, led lippie, and most lovely jewels and manicure. I also don’t mind the fact that the bodice isn’t lined, as the bra is barely visible, and yet it allows the amazing embroidery to truly stand out in a way it wouldn’t if it had fabric behind it. This is definitely BDOTW contender for me.

Would have been delighted if the bodice was lined. As it is, it’s a no–not only tacky but rather weird. Styling is good, and the column skirt is great.

I agree that this is the best she’s ever looked, but I wish she hadn’t cut her hair.
