Saoirse Ronan In Mary Katrantzou – ‘Don Jon’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Saoirse Ronan In Mary Katrantzou - 'Don Jon' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

After attending the ‘Justin and the Knights of Valour’ premiere in London on Sunday evening, Saoirse Ronan headed to Toronto, Canada, where she took to the red carpet yesterday evening for the ‘How I Live Now’ premiere during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival held at the Winter Garden Theatre.

The movie may have been different, but her love for Mary Katrantzou stayed the same, as this time she wore a dress from the Greek-born designer’s Fall 2013 collection.

Her long-sleeved sheer ‘Sandeep’ dress featuring impressionistic imagery printed in lilac and black tones was complemented with a deep-berry lip colour which I feel might be too dark for some, considering the feedback on Sarah Gadon.

Style-wise I’m not a huge fan of the shoes, but I love the gothic vibe of her overall look.

Oh, dear! As far as I’m concerned, this is all wrong.

I can somewhat see where the outfit is going but I still don’t like it. Also, those shoes are so wrong with that dress plus they’re kinda unflattering.

    Total flop.

I don’t like anything about this look, especially not the shoes and the lip colour.

I would have preferred if the dress was sleeveless or strapless, but other than that i too enjoy the gothic vibe of the outfit.

I think she looks exquisite. I can see the arguments on the shoes, but I like them. The dress is fabulous and the look is so sophisticated–I really like the lip color with her skin.

She looks like Leelee Sobieski’s younger sister.

        ITA w/ everything you said

I agree with you completely, except for the shoe part–Me no likey. But the beautiful makeup more than ‘makes up’ (haha) for it. It’s nowhere near as dark and unflattering as Sarah Gadon’s. I am really starting to take notice of this girl.

        BDOTW Worthy look imo

I’m on the fence about the shoes but I think that her “thing” and the colors do make sense with the dress.
Besides the shoes, I love this look.

I love this dress, the lip colour and the shoes but when they are put together it doesnt work for me.

I’ve never been a fan of the dark lip trend, mostly because I think it ruined each look instead of complimenting them. It’s not the case here. Her lipstick actually matches both the dress and her skintone. I think she looks beautiful. The shoes doesn’t bother me much. So, thumbs up.

I adore this dress and I think she breathes life into it. Make up and hair work perfectly. The shoes don’t bother me either.

The shoes are killing this look. I can see why she would think they go because of the color scheme, but they’re far too heavy and pull the dress down into drabness. This dress screams for a sandal… and not a multi strappy one either, just a simple bar across the front and the one around the ankle because there should be no other competition for the eye.
