Scarlett Johansson In Sachin + Babi – Variety Studio at Holt Renfrew

Scarlett Johansson In Sachin + Babi - Variety Studio at Holt Renfrew

Scarlett Johansson was at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Variety Studio at Holt Renfrew on Monday, where Olivia Wilde and Gugu Mbatha-Raw were also spotted in the mix.

Toeing her still more conservative line, she covered her curves in a Sachin + Babi Resort 2014 graphic lines-and-stripes frock with black neoprene side paneling, which created a figure-flattering silhouette.

Patent black Robert Clergerie creeper shoes grounded the dress with a touch of clunky, schoolgirl quirk.

Pretty soft makeup and a petal-pink lip softened the lines, but a retro-spirited rolled half-up, half-down ‘do seemed a bit overdone for the more casual-funky vibe.

When I saw this I started fantasizing about her expression and posture in the photo, looking uneasy and almost sad, as wanting to bolt out of that place in realization that after last week’s comeback, she can’t anymore be seen in public in these standard TV actress type mini dresses + edgy pouf hair + color pattern bonanza + what the hell I can style myself shoes. “What am I doing, I can’t go back to this,” she cried, deep inside, hands locking together in anxiety. Run, Scarlett, run!

Thanks for the lol moment of the day! :-)

I like this entire outfit. The hair and shoes really pull this look together.

Although i would have preferred a simple ponytail, i do appreciate the experimentation. A nice look.

I don’t think Scarlett is pulling off this look.
    She seems uncomfortable…

I like the dress itself (fab silhouette) but hair and shoes drag down the look for me.

      Ditto.

      I agree.

    No to them shoes

  7. Alina September 10, 2013 at 07:14 #

I don’t mind the hairstyle, but the shoes are ugly.

Those shoes are called creepers for a reason, they look creepy and have the power to ruin most outfits, like it did in this picture

I don’t like anything of this look. The dress is quite cute but the styling is bad. If she was 18 maybe I wouldn’t mind, but she’s almost 30, so no!

I like the dress, but the hair gives her face a *really* weird shape.

    I don’t care, I love it!

I like her hair with this dress. I normally hate the ‘creeper’ shoes but on this occasion they don’t bother me as much.

I’m gonna second this motion. This look shouldn’t work for me, but I find it cute in a modern rockabilly way. Shows she can go from bombshell to bobby socks in no time flat. Makes me like her even more b/c it’s apparent she doesn’t take herself too seriously. Fashion can be funky and fun too!
