Lupita Nyong’o In Honor – ’12 Days A Slave’ Press Conference

Lupita Nyong'o In Honor - '12 Days A Slave' Press Conference

Lupita Nyong’o attended a press conference and portrait session yesterday afternoon to promote her movie, ’12 Days A Slave’ during the 2013 Toronto Film Festival.

The actress opted for a colourful look selecting pieces from Honor’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Her look consisted of a bright wool boucle top with a standing funnel neck and three-quarter sleeves paired with neon floral bourette shorts with a three-dimensional seam detail at the front.

Black suede Manolo Blahnik pumps and Lulu Frost ‘Orbit’ earrings completed her look.

I love the neon yellow against her skin, however, the only downside for me were the pumps when compared to the models footwear.

From the ankles up, this look is beautiful. I hope we’ll see more from her.

Also, I don’t know if it’s because for the last couple of days I’ve been watching “Scandal”, but I could totally see Olivia Pope in this top (maybe in pale pink). :D

I feel a girl crush coming on. Prints, posture and poise topped off with fearlessness on color. Can’t wait for more. Love the earrings.

Me too!!! Making all the right choice na!!
Though Agree on the pumps selection, could have been something more fun, but still a big ‘A’ for me!!

She’s arresting. I’ve never seen her before.

Looking at her, you get the sense that she knows exactly who SHE is — do you know who YOU are?? That presence… beautiful.

YES! I was hoping on her next outing that she would wear colors and i got my wish! I love this!

That air of innocence makes impossible to dislike her. She took the fashion way with the right foot.
Given her body type and legs shape I think the pumps were the right decision.

God, she’s too perfect! Love so much the yellow top! You go girl!

I love it including the shoes. Can’t wait for the NYFF to see what she wears next.

This is a gorgeous look from the ankles up. The yellow looks amazing against her skin tone. Wish that she’d worn more interesting shoes.

Love everything except for the pumps.

I love the top, the way the bright yellow pops against her skin, but I think I would’ve preferred a pant version rather than shorts to see more continuity of the print and a more inspiring footwear of course.

I agree, as soon as I saw that yellow on her, I thought, this color was made for her. However, the shorts look so badly creased, I can hardly enjoy the print. I’m surprised this didn’t register for anyone else. I might have also preferred more exciting footwear, but the black pumps do give somewhat of a leg-lengthening effect.

WOW. She looks just spectacular. Playful but sohpisticated. I actually like the fact that her shoes don’t compete with that wonderful top and the way it frames her exquisite head. What a statement.
