2013 Style Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2013 Style Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick look at some of the other attendees at the 2013 Style Awards hosted by Nicole Richie at the Lincoln Center in New York City yesterday evening.

Anna Cleveland: The model, who is always featured in Zac Posen’s look books and takes the runway at his shows, wore a stunning strapless gown from his Pre-Fall 2013 collection. The raspberry floral gown has a lot going on, but the reason why he loves her is because she makes even the most complicated look work.

Chanel Iman: Following her look at the Michael Kors event, I’m really disappointed by this Emilio Pucci white gown on the model as I find it to be totally lifeless; it does nothing for her. The only thing I feel when looking at this outfit is uncomfortable.

Lily Aldridge: She was also at the Michael Kors event and, unlike Chanel Iman, she kept the good vibes going wearing a Louis Vuitton 60s-style black sequin dress with white detailing, opting for extremely pointy bow-front LV pumps and glossy tresses.

Trish Summerville: The winner of the Costume Designer of the Year for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’, couldn’t have picked a more perfect and dramatic look to collect her award. She wore an Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2013 paneled velvet and crepe dress inspired by religious ceremonial attire with a beautiful laser-cut detail in the skirt. The costume designer appears to share her love for McQueen with The Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks who wears pieces from past McQueen collections in the movie. You may remember that Naomi Campbell wore this same dress earlier this year.

Rachel Zoe: The stylish fashion mogul, who is celebrating the news that she’s going to be bringing another fashionable child into the world, wore a bump-concealing strapless embellished Valentino Fall 2013 gown in her favourite colour: black. Congrats to the Zoe-Berman family.

Ariana Grande: The young star was one of the few who broke the black dress code, wearing a cute strapless Kenley Collins custom-made frock in her favourite fit-and-flare silhouette styled with nude YSL clunky pumps and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Rachel’s dress is beautiful too. I would love to see it on Anne Hathaway.

Didn’t Naomi Campbell wear the same dress as Trish Summerville?

I thought Ariana couldn’t be more boring and “sooooo cute”. I was wrong.

  4. Anne September 5, 2013 at 15:24 #

    Another great look from Lily.

i really like how Anna is so dramatic here, awesome. Lily Aldridge always gets it right, impeccable style. I would’ve like if Ariana Grande less heavier shoes.

Easy win for Lily here. Don’t really like anyone else. Personally I feel it’s Chanel who’s not doing the dress any favours and not the other way round.

    • Ann September 5, 2013 at 15:58 #

I agree, the dress needs to be filled out and Chanel’s frame isn’t right for it.

  7. Milodico September 5, 2013 at 15:54 #

+1 Yes. We often say how curvier woman have to look for dresses to flatter their bodies. This case is the opposite. She is too skinny and the dress accentuates that. No disrespect here.

  8. amy September 5, 2013 at 16:24 #

    lily is perfect

  9. Ilaria September 5, 2013 at 16:35 #

I love Rachel Zoe’s dress which, I read on Brian Atwood’s Instagram, was a Valentino piece. So elegant!

  10. Noemi September 5, 2013 at 16:52 #

Rachel Zoe is my favorite, her dress is really beautiful. Lily Aldridge is my second. The others are quite meh.

  11. Nat39 September 5, 2013 at 18:04 #

Rachel Zoe’s gown couldn’t have been a more perfect and elegant choice to dress up the baby bump, Love.

    lily’s shoes… ugh, such a disappointment
    but dress is nice

  13. justme September 5, 2013 at 18:47 #

Ariana Grande makes me uncomfortable sometimes. She’s 20 and I feel like her team purposefully style her in a pre-teen way. It’s kinda creepy :/

    • breezedash September 6, 2013 at 13:51 #

      totally agree

  14. dee September 5, 2013 at 20:02 #

    I love Rachel Zoe’s look.

Kenley Collins is a Project Runway alum, so it’s nice seeing her dresses a second time on the RC. That being said, I’m not sure if this is a case of right dress, wrong person. And those shoes are heinous.

  16. Anj September 5, 2013 at 21:31 #

Ariana Grande is my favorite with Lily Aldridge coming in second.

  17. Yeliz September 5, 2013 at 21:57 #

Lily and Rachel are my favourites.

I would have loved to have seen Anna’s Zac Posen gown at Venice festival, this has the drama, glamour and fun that’s been missed year.

  19. KatieKate September 6, 2013 at 17:21 #

I had not heard the news about Rachel’s pregnancy, so that was super exciting to find out! Thanks FC–heard it here first! Also, I think this has to be the best I have ever seen her look. The dress is beautiful, she looks just a bit less skinny, and she’s positively glowing.

Lily has really impressed me of late. She’s gorgeous, and she makes some great sartorial choices, including this sparkly stunner.

Anna leaves me breathless. Wowza! Dunno if anyone else could’ve done that gown justice.

Chanel looks like a beanpole. She is stunning, but this is a no.

Ariana is pretty much adorable, but I was shocked to see another poster say that she is 20. If that is the case, then yes, her team is undoubtedly dressing her totally twee, and it’s way weird. I think they’re taking the idea of ‘pop princess’ to the extreme. But I hope they/ she figures it out b/c I really like her. I’m especially pleased to see Kenley getting some RC love.

My favorites are Rachel and Lily !
