Ellie Goulding In Julien Macdonald – 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards

Ellie Goulding In Julien Macdonald - 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards

While live reporting on the 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards yesterday evening, it appears I missed Ellie Goulding.

The singer was spotted at The Royal Opera House in London wearing two Julien Macdonald Fall 2013 looks.

For the red carpet she wore a feather-festooned and mirror-embellished mini dress styled with Rupert Sanderson ‘Moiki’ silver cut-out metallic pumps and a silver clutch. I will surprise myself and say that I kinda like the look, although every time I see her hair I wish she had done something different with it. A ponytail would’ve been perfect.

Her second Macdonald dress was worn to the after-party. This more daring embellished mini dress isn’t my favourite. It’s more JLo than Ellie Goulding. It’s a sexy dress, yet there is no sex appeal here.

    ‘No’ for both looks.

The first is a feathered mess and the second is a “too much skin for no reason” disaster.

I don’t like celebrities who change dress during the same evening. Being stylish is about being able to make a choice, and preferably a good one.

Both dresses are unflattering. Boring unkempt hair. Her best feature are her legs.

I kinda like the first look too. *feels forehead for signs of fever* It’s a bit quirky but somehow doesn’t cross into kooky, at least for me. With those eye-catching mirrored pumps, the look is interesting and cohesive. The more I look at it, the more I like it.

I actually like the 1st look too and prefer it over her other one. I don’t love the dress itself but I think it looks rather sweet on her, she is selling it to me with the perfect shoe choice, she just needed to pull her hair back/up.

+2 on both of the above comments. I think she looks quite cool for a pop star at this type of event. Where else and on whom else would we ever get the chance to see these types of dresses? But her hair is always the same messy mess.

    No and no.

    Oh dear…

She needs a total make over. Most of times she looks like a supermarket cashier trying on stuff from the local “boutique” in Croydon. She doesnt have the look of a pop singer.

Somebody give her a f&*^%$3g brush …. his hair is a mess as always

The first one looks like a molting cockatoo, and the second one, I don’t think even JLo could save it.

    The first look looks ok
