Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Versace – GQ Men of the Year Awards

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Versace - GQ Men of the Year Awards

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley joined many celebs on the red carpet at The Royal Opera House in London this evening for the 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards.

The Versace Fall 2013 collection wasn’t my favourite, with far too many PVC dresses for my personal tastes, but I have to say Rosie is selling this form-fitting white PVC dress with thin metallic straps to me.

That could have a lot to do with the simple styling of this look: stripping back the runway OTT-ness and presenting a cleaner, fresher look, with python Louboutins and flawless makeup rounding off the look.

Does Rosie manage to sell this white PVC dress to you?

I’m sold. It’s fresh, it’s simple, it’s all about her natural beauty shining through.

+1, not to mention redemption from that questionable recent mag cover.

+3 yes she does! It’s the most simple dress of the night, yet the most outstanding as she looks so beautiful!

She looks stunning. she is making this simple look work

  3. Rebecca Z September 4, 2013 at 01:48 #

She’s pretty, she can make a sack look good. My question is has she ever smiled? She looks unreal.

She basically took away every interesting element from the runway styling and subsituted the boots for some boring pumps. She could’ve at least kept the belt. This look is bland, bland, bland. Without the accessories, the plastic sheen of the dress really stands out, and not in a good way.

    • dee September 4, 2013 at 15:36 #

Exactly, she made this look so boring.

The dress looks good on her (of course) but I’m missing the belt and a sexy pair of sandals to prevend the look to be boring.

Iam sorry, but what does Pvs mean?

    • KatieKate September 6, 2013 at 02:44 #

PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride and is one of the most common plastics. It’s like a super cheap way of doing leather, but the fall collections were full of it due to the punk influence prevalent throughout the season.

nice enough but bit plain.PVC -plastic

  8. Carrie September 4, 2013 at 14:38 #

I think it’s perfect! Perhaps a bit simple, but fresh and lovely.

  9. Yeliz September 4, 2013 at 19:38 #

I’m totally buying what she is selling here. She looks amazing.

  10. Sharon September 4, 2013 at 21:31 #

Apparently yes, Rosie can sell me a white plastic dress with no embellishments, cutouts, illusion net or extreme boobage.
