Sophie Kennedy Clark In Stella McCartney – Venice Film Festival Opening Ceremony & ‘Gravity’ Premiere

Sophie Kennedy Clark In Stella McCartney - Venice Film Festival Opening Ceremony & 'Gravity' Premiere

Sophie Kennedy Clark made her way down the red carpet yesterday at the opening ceremony of the 70th Venice Film Festival, which featured the premiere of ‘Gravity’ at the Palazzo del Cinema in Italy.

The Scottish actress selected a Stella McCartney Autumn 2013 pink silk gown with long sleeves, which she attempted to keep pushed up to her elbows—no doubt to showcase the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duetto Cordonnet diamond watch on her wrist.

Aside from the glittering timepiece, accessories were scarce, although I do wish her nude pumps had been replaced with something more metallic and inspiring for this sherbet-hued dress.

Long blonde waves and bare-faced makeup, save for a punchy coral lip, also contributed to the relaxed, minimalistic vibe of the look.

I like the effortless vibe I get from this, but I miss a clutch.

      ITA.

The first picture seems to be saying “Yeah, me too.” Haha.

She looks okay, but what gets me most about this is that if Drew Barrymore and Kirsten Dunst ever had a love child this would be her.

Haha. Yes, she did remind me of Kristen.

This is lovely. Very Clavin Kleinesque. I love minimalist looks on the red carpet.

She’s beautiful and I love the simplicity and the colour.

Look forward to seeing what she does next!

    Not liking the dress

She pretty, but this looks like a coral sack.

I like the color, but agree the dress is too shapeless. She could have pulled it off if her hair and shoes were more precise, but here she just looks like she woke up, got up and put on her mom’s dress.

I do like minimalist looks but this just looks like she’s trying to hide herself in the background- from the unconfident stance, the shapeless sack of a dress, and the hair covering half her face. I’m surprised she even picked such a bright color.

I’m not loving it as much. there’s only so much minimalist you can do until it just becomes boring. It reminds me of a onesie in dress form. It would have been more forgiving if the dress was shorter. I do love the color of the dress though. It’s a bold attempt to try to give some life to the plain dress.

I don’t like anything about this look, mainly because I’m not a fan of such minimalistic looks. This dress is so plain, plus the very few accessories and the hair give me the impresson that she didn’t care to try at all.

Love the dress, love the color–not loving it on her. I feel like it’s wasted, as her posture and body language are so awkward, her hair is in her face, and her shoes are so blah. Just imagine this on, say, Cameron Diaz. Sooo much better.
