Golshifteh Farahani In Valentino Couture - Venice Film Festival Opening Ceremony & ‘Gravity’ Premiere

Golshifteh Farahani attended the opening ceremony and ‘Gravity’ premiere during the 2013 Venice Film Festival at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy yesterday evening as one of the Orizzonti Jury members.

The Iranian actress she glided down the red carpet with a much-improved hairdo, wearing a black Pascal Millet strapless gown with a full skirt which she styled with a Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage Duoplan watch, gold jewels and an orange Roger Vivier clutch.

I love the colour of the clutch against the black gown, but not the clutch itself. I wish she’d opted for something smaller, less overpowering, and daintier.

That close-up is beautiful, totally wins me over. Love the silhouette, the tiny waist. Kinda wish she hadn’t worn any accessories at all other than (different) sparkling earrings.

As far as I’m concerned, she went from zero (at the photocall) to hero. She manages to glow in a simple black dress.

+2, I can hardly believe it’s the same person.

It’s just a simple black gown, but I think it’s a timeless piece. She looks gorgeous, I love the pop of colour via the clutch, but I agree that it should’ve been smaller. Thumbs up for the overall look.

Work it, girl! I just cannot believe she is Iranian. Misconceptions, due to watching NOT WITHOUT MY DAUGHTER. Apologies, but seriously . . . what a hottie!

She looks stunning no doubt, but I’m not crazy about what she’s wearing.

    Not liking the gown

Hard to believe this is the same woman. The wonders of hairdressers and makeup artists! She looks gorgeous.

Omg this black is weighing me down…

It’s all about the beauty of the small-waisted silhouette and the drama of the full skirt in simple black. The gown fits her perfectly, she looks gorgeous. The orange clutch however is a completely unnecessary distraction, would’ve much preferred something less flashy like a small emerald embellished clutch for example.
