Clotilde Courau was also at the 70th Venice Film Festival’s opening ceremony and ‘Gravity’ premiere, hosted at the Palazzo del Cinema in Italy on Wednesday.

The French actress wore an Alberta Ferretti white crepe jacket with a black velvet bow and scalloped high-low hem, which was paired with a black, siren Mikado silk skirt.

Classically buttoned-up and conservative, the ensemble’s impeccably structured tailoring and monochromatic colour story did create a sense of drama.

A wispy, loose updo and warm, earth-toned makeup also cut through some of the sartorial severity.

    I Love it! Maternal but beautiful! (I hope that’s a compliment :) )

I love the dress and the way she gracefully carries it!
Too bad she had a little problem with her makeup: http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/actress-clotilde-courau-attends-the-opening-ceremony-and-news-photo/178270108

Shame about the make up, but she looks lovely otherwise!

Really don’t like her hair–it brings the whole looks down in my opinion.

Something about this look seems messy. Overall, I don’t like this.

You know, I usually love Clotilde’s style, but this time I cant say I do. If it fit like it did on the runway and her hair was styled similar to the models, it would have been a win, but the fit is off and her hair is awful. It feels very messy.

Fc, why do you call her sometimes “Princess Clotilde of Savoy”, and now “Clotilde Courau”? It depends on the place she is?

I think this fragments from Wikipedia can help you:
“After her marriage Clotilde (an actress) became Princess Clotilde of Savoy, the Princess of Venice & Piedmont (Italian: Principessa Clotilde di Savoia, Principessa di Venezia e Piemonte). Although the titles and distinctions of the Italian royal family have been abolished, she is sometimes referred to by courtesy, as Princess of Savoy, Princess of Venice and Piedmont.
Although not a member of a ruling royal house, Princess Clotilde and her husband are regularly guests at royal events such as the wedding of Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie of Luxembourg.”
