Best Dressed, Blog, MTV Music Awards
Holland was the best for me.
Yes, me too!
Pleasantly surprised to see so many agree this was the best look. It’s so chic and seems so damn comfortable too, and that’s a tricky combo to achieve!
+1 Holland’s look blows everyone else away. The VMA’s are the place to be unique and its refreshing when someone can do that without being outrageous. Holland pulled it off wonderfully. Absolutely stunning! Selena may have been different and looked great, but she didn’t make my jaw drop like Holland did.
+2 Exactly what I was thinking, so chic..
well said Donna
I actually really loved Shailene Woodley, but absent her, I’m going with Ms Swift
I wanted to vote for Naya Rivera, but she’s not in the poll, so I went with Holland Roden in Naeem Khan.
I believe that Naya Rivera and/or Shailene Woodley deserve to be in this poll much more than Katy Perry and/or Lady Gaga, for instance.
I vote for Holland Roden.
Are we sure this poll shouldn’t read worst dressed
Right??? I mean, Rita Ora and Ciara? Seriously?
i’m shocked to see rita ora in the pool, too . generally she had negative comments about dress
My vote goes to Ciara but I also love Selena and Naya here.
Agreed. I think Ciara was totally VMA appropriate, but still glamm and beyond gorge!
Ellie Goulding should be here!!
Holland Roden in Naeem Khan.
Joan ahead of Taylor and Naya for me.
For me it’s a tie between Ciara in Givenchy Couture and Joan Smalls in Viktor & Rolf.
I love Joan Smalls in Viktor & Rolf! Easy choice, quick win for me.
Holland!! She is quickly becoming one of my girl crushes, such a pretty girl and most important she brings new things to the table without losing her classy chic vibe.
This was one of the better dressed VMAs of recent memory.
It was a tough choice, but Holland got my vote. I also really loved Naya and Selena and Shailene (for the first time EVER!).
Selena and Holland.
Holland Roden and Taylor Swift are beautifully turned out but for some reason I’m not crazy about either look. Taylor looks too much like an extra in an old Hollywood movie, too costumey— and I personally dislike gown-and-pants dresses. In any case, neither seems quite right for this event.
Big applause to Naya for proving that sexy doesn’t have to mean naked and to Ciara for looking so lovely.
Holland Roden. She gave us a unique, fashionable drama, a welcome unexpected choice.
Ciara was my 2nd fave. She was truly striking but I’d still prefer it more as a dazzling performance look. Selena Gomez – 3rd.
Selena looked beautifully turned out, given the inherent trashiness of that Versace. Big nay to Naya though – Morticia Adams warmed over.
Holland hands down. I would say BDOTW worthy or even one of my favorite looks of the year! It’s up there with Kerry’s Giles moment. Dyed when I saw this!!
absolutely agree with you. she is definitely BDOTW
Agreed. BDOTW and BDOTY contender because its been a while since someone made me gasp in amazement like Holland did. And to say she’s on a show like Teen Wolf and still was able to make the impression she made on everyone makes it even better.
I voted for Selena but only because of that dress. It’s amazing and I really wish somebody else had worn it *sigh* but anyway…I still voted for her…
Ciara (who I voted), Taylor, Selena and Rivera for me.
Taylor, followed by Ciara and Selena. Holland’s look was nice but it said “Met Gala” or “Golden Globes”, not “VMAs”. I actually like Rita’s dress but she happened to be the wrong person for it… Shailene looks much too causal. I don’t love Joan’s outfit but she looks gorgeous anyway. I was pleasantly surprised by Gaga. She looks so classy for once.
Totally agree re. Holland’s outfit.
