Saint Laurent @ 2018 Met Gala

Six pretties. Six provocative Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello looks that were all about leggy twists on the LBD at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

Zoe Kravitz: The one starlet in the bunch with a long gown, this barely-there lace number still showed off plenty of leg. Her doorknocker earrings were gigantically glorious, and I had to smile at the bows—as if they could add any sweet innocence to the fully sexy look. With this dress, you may be reminded of Rihanna’s 2011 Met Gala moment in black lace.

Anja Rubik: Perhaps the feathered shoes were added as a nod to angel wings, but aside from that, this could be any galactic mini from the designer on any red carpet.

Kate Moss: I have no doubt some may be disappointed that this little black dress marked the first return of the supermodel to the Met Gala since 2009. The angel-feather shoulders do help a bit with the drama factor, but not by much.

Charlotte Casiraghi: I was getting a strong punk vibe here. Nothing more, nothing less.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: Ditto the punk spirit for the second Charlotte’s look. The platform boots didn’t help either of them with any sort of holy thematic reference.

Amber Valletta: Amber had my favourite look in the Saint Laurent group, as I loved the architectural flair of the glitzy mini that was set off my the singular long earring on the opposite side—not that I was seeing much more of the theme here, either.
