Christa B. Allen In Robert Rodriguez – InStyle Summer Soiree

Christa B Allen In Robert Rodriguez - InStyle Summer Soiree

Christa B. Allen attended the 12th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree held at the Mondrian Los Angeles in West Hollywood, California yesterday evening alongside her BFF, Ashley Madekwe.

The actress wore a Robert Rodriguez fitted strapless dress with a pointy double-layered neckline.

I’m loving the 80s vibe I am getting from this frock, and I’m glad she didn’t go for the obvious styling-wise, adding metallic-blue Dior pumps, with a blue-and-white oversize Sachin + Babi kaldeiscope print clutch and dazzling Martin Katz jewels completing the look.

I have a feeling this look would’ve worked better with her hair up, the belt and even possibly the shoes as seen in the look book. What do you think?

Although I love the lookbook styling, I like how she makes this look her own. And when a structured dress fits this well, a belt is not necessary. A low pony might be nice but I still like it.

I would have changed the clutch for something a bit simpler and gone with a slicker hairstyle a la the lookbook, otherwise I like her styling choices.

I am not crazy about the fit of the dress.

I love the dress, her hair makeup and earrings. I don’t love the accessories, especially the clutch which seems to come from a different universe from the dress. I don’t live the shoes, but I can live with them.

I like the look a in the look book but this young lady’s styling is not cohesive and is off putting. Nothing really works together.

Not a bad look. I like sorta like this.

The dress is great, but the styling is awful. The clutch doesn’t go and I can’t stand those metallic blue pizza toe shoes!

I greatly dislike the shoes and bag. They don’t go at all with the dress.

I don’t like the creases nor the styling. Everything looks better on the look book.

I don’t like anything about this. The dress does not fit her right in the bust, it’s sitting up too high and looks odd. I hate her earrings; they look like a buy 3 get 1 free pair from Claire’s in the mall. The shoes are so random, and the clutch is from a different planet altogether. Bummer b/c I really like the dress in the lookbook.

I love this except for bag and shoes.

I’m not crazy about the shoe & clutch color, but I do love the look otherwise. Even though I’m on a short hair campaign today, I wouldn’t change hers at all. I think she looks much better than the lookbook version.

I would have prefered the dress in another colour.
