Ashley Madekwe In Diane Von Furstenberg – InStyle Summer Soiree

Ashley Madekwe In Diane Von Furstenberg - InStyle Summer Soiree

Putting her best (well-manicured) foot forward, Ashley Madekwe attended the 12th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree held at the Mondrian Los Angeles in West Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

When I think of summer soirees I think of pretty floral frocks, but Ashley didn’t play the predictable game; instead, she worked a sexy saffron-yellow Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2013 halter jumpsuit with a deep plunge and draped detailing.

Impeccable styling, as we expect from this British beauty, saw her adding a vintage Chanel No. 5 belt – a find from Very Vintage – her can’t-live-without Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals, and a black Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch to her bold all-in-one.

A slicked-back ‘do and bold red lips completed her stunning look.

Are you crushing on this look as hard as I am?

As much as I love the vintage belt, I think the runaway one would have worked better.

I am lusting over the belt. But I wish she wore the runway belt. I love how that peplum sits on top of the belt. :)

best best best ,that girl she’s on the top, why dnt saw her on many cover ?
    she dress better than emily
and every thing go right, the color of the jumpsuit to her skin tone, the red lips

and better choice shoes than on the catwalk

    Obsessed!!

Hmmm, I might have liked this better with no belt at all as the fit is perfect. This belt (although a fantastic find) is too fussy, interferes with the draping. Love the red lip.

She looks great but that’s no surprise. I’ve been watching Revenge lately and she wears everything they put her in amazingly well! That’s probably why the show stylist gives her the best clothes…ironically she’s supposed to be least wealthy character on the show lol

Perfection from head-to-toe, the belt is a perfect addition.

    Love it

Oh, yes. This is impeccable. She is such a beauty and one to be watched. So fresh, confident, forward thinking and bold. Love the lip colour with it.

I love this. I’m a big fan of Ashley’s style.

Hardcore crushing! I love the addition of the belt–in fact I like better than the runway version, as I don’t care for how the peplum fabric is flopping over it. Looks ver haphazard. She is glowing!

Way too much for the event with that deep plunge and bold red lips.

    • Nat39 August 15, 2013 at 23:36 #

I’m normally a big fan of a red color pop against yellow but on this occasion I would’ve actually preferred a more subtle pink lipcolor for a more effortless stylish summery look. Her bold lip in combination with the daring plunge is a bit too much, starting to feel a bit try-hard/forced to me.

Scratch that. Her styling is perfect – THIS is the way to rock a sexy jumpsuit. The only thing that actually bothers me is that there isn’t in fact enough fabric uptop (like TeaAtTwo pointed out below), it’s a bit overly skin-baring, an additional turquoise piece on the model makes sense.

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT. THIS IS WHAT TRUE STYLE IS ALL ABOUT !

Well somebody finally made a jumpsuit I don’t want. I think it’s the cut of the pants, which I can’t quite figure out. They look kind of like harem pants and kind of like a wrap-around skirt and just not good. I love the peplum and the belt and her trusty YSL shoes.

OH MY GOD YES YES YES!!!! I absolutely ADOOOOOOORE this look! There hasn’t been anything that exciting on the red carpet since the Met Gala, I’m not kidding! She just joined the top of my BDOTY 2013 list!

  19. TeaAtTwo August 17, 2013 at 15:30 #

I love the colour and how it’s rather unexpected for the type of event but I would prefer there were a bit more fabric uptop where the plunge is.
