Lily Collins In Cushnie Et Ochs – ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ LA Premiere

Lily Collins In Cushnie Et Ochs - 'The Mortal Instruments City of Bones' LA Premiere

Lily Collins has already had a pretty epic promo tour for her latest movie, ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’, after her mall tours and TV- and radio-station appearances.

Last night at the ArcLight Theatre in Hollywood, she finally got to shine on the red carpet for the premiere, wearing a Cushnie et Ochs Resort 2014 dress.

The designers are known for their conceptual cut-outs and minimalist lines, which were very much represented in Lily’s ivory fishnet-stamped leather dress.

Her sexy, edgy look was styled with ivory Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and H. Stern jewels.

Beauty-wise she opted for side-parted slicked-back hair and smouldering eye makeup.

I’m delighted to see the return to her signature summer dark lip, matching her nail polish which had a gold glittery overlay.

The dress is totally ill fitting and the shoes make her feet look wide as hell. Everything above the neck is lovely though.

Well, this was a complete let down. I’m bummed.

This isn’t very good, leaves me underwhelmed as well.

    She looks amazing!

I tought the same, but I love the bold lipstick and the hair push back like that,so I’m enjoying it..

Her hair and makeup look gorgeous!

    LOVE! Definitely BDOTW worthy!!

Totally agree! She is my newest girl crush. This seals the deal. I love everything here including the off-white pumps, I think they are a better choice than strappy sandals with this, and I rarely say that. Her hair and m/u are perfection-love her strong brows! Also, the texture of the dress is so cool. BDOTW!

Although I do not like white, this is her best look this week.

  8. Juliet August 13, 2013 at 10:57 #

She’s trying too hard to ditch her “mirror mirror” image.

BDOTW contender! I love the minimal vibe, but the hair and make up, are what make this look so pull together for me.

+1 Maybe white sandals instead of the pumps would have been better, but her choice doesn’t bother me. I think this is still a great look. I like the fit of the dress and, as you said, her make-up and hair totally make the look.

I adore the all-white approach, the close-up of her face is stunning. But I agree with the others. I’m not a particular fan of the cut outs, the fit is off and I don’t know what it is about the shoes, but the shape of the pumps feels a bit… heavy?

I’m waiting for all these YA heroines to wow me in their premieres like Jennifer Lawrence did in the premiere for ‘The Hunger Games’, but no such luck yet.
The top part of the dress doesn’t fit her well and the shoes are too boring. Her hair and make-up are perfect though

I think this is a little underwhelming for a premier. I don’t hate it but something seems to be missing.

It’s hilarious because she was more dressed up at the TCA. lol.

  13. Iva August 13, 2013 at 09:51 #

I’m not fond of the dress – but she pulls it off!
Also – sandals instead of the pumps would work better I believe.
    Hair and make-up are great!

I kind of like the dress but I don’t think it fits her well. I like the make up and the dark nail polish with the dress, but not the shoes.

    • Mandy August 13, 2013 at 10:49 #

Agree the fit isn’t great, and i was secretly hoping for a wow gown, but other than that its a nice look. Wished she had worn some strappy coloured sandals to lift the look.

      I agree with you.
