Priyanka Chopra In Maya Crispin – ‘Planes’ LA Premiere

Priyanka Chopra In Maya Crispin - 'Planes' LA Premiere

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra took to the red carpet at the premiere of Disney’s ‘Planes’ movie, in which she has a voice-over role, hosted yesterday at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The Indian beauty rocked a blush-toned Maya Crispin custom jumpsuit that fit her like a glamorous glove.

To go with that stellar, shiny metallic belt and the gold zipper accents, she carried a Christian Louboutin ‘Mina’ studded clutch and wore matching, highly reflective Louboutin heels.

I was delighted to see her opt for a lighter, more seasonal ensemble than her recent black-on-black display. But the same could not be said for her heavier approach to hair and makeup.

The retro finger waves and bold red lip seemed out of place; it was all a bit dramatic, and daresay costume-y, for such a trendsetting, cool-girl look—a look which was only enhanced by her Ray-Ban aviator shades that also came out to play.

Mis-matched but I still like this look.

The whole thing is in fact starting to feel a tad costumey/overdone but can’t help but love it anyway.

Yes, she is overstyled, but that jumpsuit is tailored exquisitely.

I cannot even judge her look because I am too mesmerized by her face!!! Who is this goddess????

An indian Bollywod superstar. She has started a caree as a singer lately, & is in the US to promote her new song “Exotic”

Trying this again in response to the correct post!

I think her hair and makeup are amazing – would look like too much on someone else, but are really enhancing her beauty. But the jumpsuit really does contrast. Zippers like that are soooo 80s, and that whole look, while undoubtedly well fitted, is not good. She needs something more classic, especially with that hair.

The hair ruins what could have been an amazing look.

Coming from an indian family I can tell you that Indian women are very often likely to do heavy make-up instead of something more lighter, less dramatic. Any time I have done a more summary look several friends, cousins, aunts even uncles have asked why I haven`t put any make-up on today :)))

I love the outfit and accessories, but her hair is over-gelled and overdone in general.

It´s the wet hair look pin-ups used to rock. It´s on purpose.

Whoops! My last comment (still awaiting moderation) states that I disagree with FC, but I just realized this post isn’t even by FC. Sorry! I’m kind of glad though, b/c I hate it when we disagree. Well, I mean, I can sleep at night, I just prefer it when our viewpoints are similar. Makes me feel “fashion smart”. 🙂

The comment came in at 1.45am my time, so I was sleeping. All your comments have now been moderated.

Oh, it’s okay. I don’t expect you to blog in your sleep! 🙂

Although I love her hairstyle, I agree it doesn’t fit here. But the jumpsuit- wow! If I looked like that in a jumpsuit, you’d never get me out of it.

I usually love jumpsuits, but this is looking like a uniform of some kind, not cute.

I wholeheartedly disagree, FC, which I hate to do. But I love every inch of this look. Hair and makeup most definitely included! It all adds up to BOMBSHELL! I think it has a very aviator suit look, and the styling is classic pin-up, which goes perfectly with the ‘Planes’ theme. I can’t be the only one that sees that, right??

I may be totally alone here, but this is BDOTW worthy for me.

      Everything you said! BDOTW-worthy!
      Pin-up 50s inspired @ it´s best

I agree with you. The retro hair and aviator-like jumpsuit go together nicely, especially at a premiere of a movie about cartoon planes.

  13. sara August 7, 2013 at 00:21 #

I bit too dramatic with the hair and make-up, but WOW the tailoring is impeccable. Love the jumpsuit – great figure, gorgeous woman!

    • Linda August 7, 2013 at 02:29 #

I totally agree with you, Sara. We see a fair amount of custom looks on here and this one takes the cake in terms of fit and style. It looks so right on her. The combination of the gold and the blush tone are divine.

  14. Fanny August 6, 2013 at 23:42 #

I have no complaints here. She looks fantastic.

  15. julyol1972 August 6, 2013 at 22:11 #

Her body and her head are at two totally different premieres.
