Cat Deeley In Etro – 2013 Young Hollywood Awards

Cat Deeley In Etro - Young Hollywood Awards 2013

Cat Deeley rounded out the attendees at the 2013 Young Hollywood Awards held at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California yesterday evening.

The ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ host wore a daring drop-waist Etro Spring 2012 dress featuring a halter top with a bow accent going across the bust and cut-out details, with a pleated colourful ethnic-print skirt.

I’m always asking for Cat to do something a bit different and it looks like she did just that on this occasion, styling her look with black strappy sandals, a stack of bracelets on both wrists and a green Bulgari shoulder bag.

A topknot, glossy lips and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.

Do you like that Cat took a rare step out of her comfort zone, or did she take it too far?

If this looks slouchy and baggy on someone as tall and thin as Deeley, I truly don’t want to know what it does to any other body type.

She did wear this on SYTYCD and looked amazing! It was styled differently and truly looked gorgeous! I told my husband, “I can’t take my eyes off Cat!”. In this picture it looks odd and it looks like she has saggy breasts. Do yourself a favor and track down the episode!

I love it. It’s tricky and a lot of skin, but she manages to pull it off w/o a tinge of tackiness. I love it when someone steps outside the box and gives us something so interesting and delightful!

This is not a great look.

Not sure if I like it, but I’m intrigued.

I could have worked for me if it were not drop- waisted. The drop-waist kills the proportions for me and make it look so draggy. It’s another just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

I love Cat Deeley! But this is a tricky top. It makes the breasts appear too low on the torso, both on Cat and on the model. Very difficult to pull off, no matter how comfortable you are with more excentric pieces. I like the skirt and shoes not so much the hair, although she usually has gorgeous hair.

The ethnic-print skirt is fun and her styling is good, the halter top however is horrendous.

I think this step outside the box was definitely worth the risk. She’s pulling it off well.

I would like the dress far more if it did not have such a dramatic drop waist. Unless you are very short-waisted or have mile-long legs, a drop waist is not particularly flattering IMO.

I still give her a thumbs up. This is different, fresh, and nicely styled.

I do not thing this dress suits her style, not at all. It is clear she does not feel comfortable wearing something like this, even if she has a beautiful body for pulling it off. Sometimes, staying in the comfort zone is not bad unless you decide to take some risks and minimize the effects.

I like it! It’s outside the zone of the usual short, often shiny dresses that she always semms to favor. It’s definitely daring, and appropriate for the event. Thumbs up, Cat!

She wore this on an episode of SYTYCD about a month ago.. When she wore it then, her hair was different & she added gorgeous drop earring to it. I liked it a lot better then, she looked stunning. She has been wearing some pretty stellar outfits hosting the show, maybe feature her outfits from that weekly? xx

I like the skirt and the shoes are ok. The top is difficult and not the most figure-flattering on anyone. I’m undecided overall.

What in the world is happening to her?
