Sophia Bush In Monique Lhuillier – 2013 Do Something Awards

Sophia Bush In Monique Lhuillier - 2013 Do Something Awards

Sophia Bush looked radiant on the red carpet for the 2013 Do Something Awards held at Avalon in Hollywood, California, yesterday evening.

The beautiful actress made me forget her last few red carpet hiccups by wearing a stunning Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 gown.

This aqua-and-white scale-print gown with a gathered waist was one of my favourite pieces from the collection, so I was delighted to see it take to the red carpet and styled so perfectly.

Jewels provided by Melinda Maria, EF Collection and Graziela Gems complemented her Nancy Gonzalez croc-embossed clutch and bronzed Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals. Thankfully no white pumps were considered here. I think we have seen enough white pumps this summer to last us a lifetime.

Sun-kissed highlights in her brunette hair contribute to the overall glow, with kohl-rimmed eyes and glossy nude lips providing the finishing touches.

I don’t like this dress, especially the pattern. It makes her look wider than she is. Clutch and hair are a disappointment, too.

She looks so gorgeous. That dress is amazing, and perfectly styled-love the jewelry and shoes most. I’m a little divided on the clutch, but everything else is so great, I don’t even care. Also love her makeup-lips especially. Best I think I’ve see her.

Now that I see the styling better, I might’ve voted this as my favorite look – I love that the clutch isn’t matchy.

Since yesterday night I’ve been in love with this look and I just can’t shake it. Sophia looks absolutely stunning. BDOTW!

Seems kind of pageanty to me for some reason.

It is a pretty dress and I like it on her. But I hate the clutch. Wrong color, too heavy–really brings the look down in my opinion.

I don’t particularly like this but I’m having a hard time figuring out why.
Maybe if she had worn a more sophisticated hairstyle and had a touch of color on her lips I’d prefer it.
She looks a bit like a 16 year old going to prom.

Well, I can’t say she doesn’t look pretty, even if it’s not my cup of tea.

I don’t know exactly why but I hate it. It doesn’t flatter her at all.

This is a beautiful dress but I don’t really like on Sophia. This looks better on the model.

Someone with more height can pull off this look

      • sara August 1, 2013 at 17:25 #

+1 i was thinking more height as well.

Unflattering, especially from this angle. She looks like she’s pregnant, and the scale print is really tacky. I know this collection was inspired by water, but trying to channel a mermaid with no irony is more silly than inspired.

I don’t like the dress, it has a prom vibe.
But she looks really great, I glad she gave up the bangs.
