Shailene Woodley In Proenza Schouler – ‘The Spectacular Now’ LA Screening

Shailene Woodley In Proenza Schouler - 'The Spectacular Now' LA Screening

Shailene Woodley isn’t considered by many of you as one of fashion’s it girls and she appears to be both happy and comfortable with that, however she made a greater effort while attending the LA special screening of ‘The Spectacular Now’ held at the Vista Theatre in California last night.

The young actress wore a Proenza Schouler Resort 2014 black ensemble which consisted of a turtleneck crop top and draped calf-length skirt.

Taking inspiration from the lookbook, she added an ethnic statement necklace by H.O.W.L to decorate what may have been a sombre look without the jewelled piece.

A simple ponytail and Proenza Schouler black double-buckle shoes completed her look.

Is this much improved over her last outing, or are you still not impressed?

I hate the shoes, however I really like the dress.
The necklace is a great touch, even if the one on the lookbook was better, and the hair and the make up are pecfect.
    She looks really good here.

Apparently she hated the shoes as well, as she took them off as soon as the photo-shoot was over

It’s not the first time she’s taken her shoes off on the red carpet.

Ugly shoes. Looks like walking shoes for a grandmother! Rest is ok, but a little colour in stead of white or black would be nice!

I like this even less than her last look. She looks very stiff and unnatural. I can’t help thinking this is one of those my-stylist-made-me-wear-it moments.

I actually like the entire ensemble even though it’s not really my aesthetic. It’s a great shape for her body & the shoes are very typical PS. I think she looks great

It’s the best look you’ve put up so far today: a good mix of elegant and quirky, and it suits her.

I like everything but those ugly shoes.

  7. Christine July 31, 2013 at 13:45 #

Still a bland look but the she looks better here than her last outing.

I actually like them both–she looks good in simple, unfussy clothes.

i think the necklace is far more ugly than those shoes! yuck

I like everything waist down, but I hate everything waist up. This is way too 90s for me and blase at that. That turtleneck is just awful.

I think Shailene is a 70-year-old in a 21-year-old’s body. Better than yesterday, but still boring.

Better than yesterday, one can see she put more effort into it. Glad she pulled her hair into ponytail.

I really love this dress. The shoes, however… it’s like she lost a bet.

Far better outing. She looks polished this time-great hair and makeup. Also, as I’ve been saying, black doesn’t equal boring, and this is an excellent example. I like the accessories too. It’s all good. Love Proenza.

She really needs a new stylist.
