Rhona Mitra In Monique Lhuillier – TNT’s 25th Anniversary Party

Rhona Mitra In Monique Lhuillier - TNT's 25th Anniversary Party

Rhona Mitra took her blue crush a few steps further than Jordana Brewster at TNT’s 25th Anniversary Party, hosted yesterday at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.

The star of the Michael Bay-produced show, ‘The Last Ship,’ was channeling the big blue sea, as she sailed along the ‘navy’ carpet in a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 watery, digital-print dress.

The aquatic-inspired, flutter-sleeve frock, was worn longer than seen on the runway and presented without the thin black belt. I have a feeling some of you will be calling for a pair of scissors and a tailor.

A Lauren Merkin ‘Grace’ rectangular clutch in calf suede with patent leather trim brought an intense jolt of black back to the look—too intense, if you ask me—whilst dual-tone snakeskin sandals added an earthy edge.

A back-swept ponytail and minimal makeup, with another dose of super-bronzer, finished the look.

Sea-worthy, or shipwrecked by the styling?

She should’ve kept the belt, but I don’t mind the length, my problem are the shoes, they shorten her.

Needs a belt and tho I covet those heels..not with that particular dress

The dress might have worked with the/a belt, although I’m not entirely convinced. The clutch and the shoes don’t go with it at all (maybe the sandals if the colours of the dress had been reversed?).

I like the dress, but I do think it would’ve been much better to the knee, or just under. I like the shoes with it, I think it’s the length that stumpifies her in this case, and not the shoes. It prob also would’ve been sleeker with a belt. She looks pretty, though.

I prefer the catwalk look : length of the dress, styling, everything.Although I agree, she doesn’t look bad.

Shipwrecked by the styling, I fear.
The colors are lovely and look nice on her though.

    Lovely dress! Boring styling…

Not a fan of the styling. I think it looks longer on her because she is shorter than the model.

For a second, I thought it was Victoria Beckham.

She looks rather like Victoria Beckham, with lighter make-up and finer eyebrows, doesn’t she…(no negative insinuation towards VB!).

    I like this look.

The dress is too long on her and it desperately needs a belt.
