Scarlett Johansson In Versace – ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Press Line: Comic Con 2013

Scarlett Johansson In Versace - 'Captain America The Winter Soldier' Press Line Comic Con 2013

Also breaking free from the monochromatic mold, Scarlett Johansson brightened up Comic-Con International 2013 in San Diego, California the moment she entered the ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ press line on Saturday, where she was joined by co-star Chris Evans.

At first, it may be hard to fathom that her happy day dress, exploding with tiny, trippy flowers, was a Versace design. The vibrant Resort 2014 look infused a sweet, retro appeal into the label’s signature, sexy edge.

But, don’t think that colourful frock didn’t still hug every single curve. Long tousled waves and a dark smokey eye added even more sultriness.

As for those pointy, patent-black eyesores, ahem pumps, they completely ruined the effervescent mood. I’ll try to ignore them.

      Totally agree!

Those shoes are bothering me so much. It’s such a beautiful summery dress and then she pairs them with such uninspiring black pumps. Even white pumps would’ve been a better choice.

I might be in the minority here because I dig black pumps, but it’s not right at all for this look. I don’t get it when celebs mix a beautiful, festive dress with black pumps. Brings it down. She looks great from the ankles up, though.

      ITA. Why, I say WHY????

  4. Christine July 22, 2013 at 00:46 #

Why the boring black pumps with this vibrant dress? Letdown.

Great job with this special weekend coverage, RW. Is this just to keep up with Comic Con?

OK, who thought black pumps were the right choice for this gorgeous dress? Even white pumps would have worked better here. What a buzz-kill.

Who in the world looked at this dress and thought: “Oh, let’s pair it with black pumps!” ?

Seriously just -confused- by the shoe choice. Usually boring black is just playing it safe and I don’t mind but this is just .. confusing.

I loved the dress but the shoes are so boring

I agree with all the above. Who thought this was a good idea?! Her eye make-up is bothering me too for the same reason.

She is radiant and hasn’t been so in a long time. I choose to ignore the out-of-place shoes.

Very pretty dress. Bad shoes, boring hair. I don’t think she looks great with long hair.

I usually don’t have any problem with black pumps but this time they look so out of place. Like they are from a different day.I also don’t like the eye make up. Anyway it’s good to see a softer sexy side of Versace.

I don’t know what she was thinking when she chose these black pumps with this colourful, summery outfit. Even a pair of nude pumps would have been OK. However, I do like the rest of her look, from the dress to the hair and make-up.
