Paula Patton In Theia – 2013 ESPY Awards

Paula Patton In Theia - 2013 ESPY Awards

Paula Patton was one of the guest presenters at the 2013 ESPY Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California yesterday evening.

The actress wore a Theia Spring 2013 silver beaded short-sleeved dress, which she shortened to show more of those toned pins.

A waist-defining belt was a welcome addition, with metallic-silver Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and Katerina Maxine, Gilan and H.Stern jewels adding yet more shiny elements to her look.

For someone who tends to have a terrible time on the red carpet, this look is much improved for Paula.

Both the shorter length and the styling are working in her favour.

I might not think it’s as bad as others, but I do think it should be longer. I don’t mind her shortening it a bit from the lookbook, but she went too far. Again, cousin the proportions to be less than flattering. Why can’t stars/stylists figure this out??? She’s so beautiful, but this doesn’t do anything to enhance that.

Oh my, no! There is not one thing I like about this look, except possibly her makeup. Don’t like her hair or shoes, and most of all I don’t like what happened to the dress. The runway version was so elegant. Now it looks Walmart.

I think she looks kind of pretty. I think it is fine for the event.

I agree with the above about boxy and tacky. The fit is also rather tight, it flowed so nicely on the model.

How this much beatiful women dont know how to dress?? She is trying too hard instead of picking up simple pieces which can match with her figure and take attention on her nature beauty

She looks incredibly tacky. I would’ve expected a lot more from her, something a lot more elegant. This dress belongs on the likes of tween tryhards.

This dress is doing her no favors. The dress is boring and shortening it didn’t help.

The dress does nothing for her athletic figure. The shorter length rather makes her look boxy. I don’t like this.

      +1 Agreed

      + 2

I love it on the model, but on Paula it s a big NO.

  9. Ahot July 18, 2013 at 10:06 #

Nope. she looks boxy in it, her baby changed her figure, as babies do for most women. She needs flared lines to get a visual small waist. baby steps.

She didn’t have a defined waist even before her pregnancy. That’s just her shape. Nothing wrong with that.

I do agree that this particular dress isn’t flattering though.

I have to disagree with you about the length. It isn’t working for me.

    • Lashae July 18, 2013 at 09:37 #

Me neither. The dress needs to be longer and I think I hair should be up also.

    • Nat39 July 18, 2013 at 21:01 #

I agree, the length isn’t working. With the shortened length she is crossing into a ‘desperate’ territory.
