Nieves Alvarez celebrated one year of ‘Solo Moda’ in high style, naturally. We would expect nothing less.
First adorning herself in three confections from Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2013 collection, the trendsetting show host was the epitome of glamour as she strutted out a range of looks, all paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and Carrera y Carrera jewels. Loose bombshell waves completed the effect.
From her glittering, gold one-shoulder gown that was both sophisticated and sultry, she moved on to a party-ready, siren-red frock with vampy black-patent heels.
The big finish was a slightly futuristic, metallic blue, pleated mermaid number that could have done without the pendant necklace.
Changing fashion lanes, Nieves was thinking pink next. She gave us a more style-forward, playful side with a trio of looks from Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2013 collection, also mixed with Christian Louboutin heels and a touch of Carrera y Carrera sparkle. An edgier side-swept ‘do and the pop of a deep matte-red lippie went right along with her Oscar entrances.
Starting off with a refined petal-pink lace and bubblegum-tweed dress, she then had fun with a quirky printed top and extreme wide-leg pant that only she (and few others) could pull off with such aplomb.
A hot pink skirt and wide-ribbon sash, paired with a white exploded mesh top, combined the best of both worlds—glam and a bit of bam.
