Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Calvin Klein Collection – ModelCo Black Tie Event

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Calvin Klein - ModelCo Black Tie Event

As you know, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley flew into Australia earlier this week ahead of a photoshoot with Australian beauty brand ModelCo.

They threw a fancy soiree this evening at the Hayman Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef to welcome the British beauty into the ModelCo family.

Rosie took the belly-baring trend to a whole new level, wearing a Calvin Klein Collection Resort 2013 ivory ensemble which included a bandeau and a calf-length skirt with cut-out details at the waist.

I don’t think that there was any chance she was going to wear that overlay. Do you?

If you look closely you can see that Rosie is wearing body jewellery along with a selection of rings, a pendant necklace and bracelets, opting to mix her metals with silver strappy Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

With sun-kissed golden tresses and a hot-pink lip colour, I am totally floored by how stunning she looks.

An easy contender for BDOTW.

Well, I usually don’t like to see bandeaus on the red carpet, but Rosie looks so damn good. This is a great minimalistic look and I’m glad that she didn’t wore the overlay.

Apparently, RHW is using the “less is more” approach to her red carpet style lately. I didn’t like her teeny tiny Pucci, don’t like this. I think the skirt is a terrible length, and for m, a bandeau as evening wear is a no regardless of how tight ones abs might be.

I think it would have been much classier and more chic with the overlay–even if it were sleeveless. This just looks too much like beachwear to me.

    • Nat39 July 10, 2013 at 21:00 #

So MUCH better with the overlay, this is awkward, unfinished…I’m not seeing anything stunning here, only lack of class.

      • Christine July 10, 2013 at 21:11 #

        Agreed.

P.S her body is smoking hot. Jealous

how is this a bdotw contender? This is an awful look, it actually look like she forgot the rest of her dress at home! So tacky, where is the class?? An outfit like this is for the beach and no where else. And this is actually not doing anything for her body either, her stomach is actually too toned to the point where its masculine and it does not need to be so exposed.

    • Juliet July 10, 2013 at 21:02 #

      Agreed.

Way too much skin! Even if you are a model. I always liked RHW however this is not a classy evening wear.

  5. liz July 10, 2013 at 17:56 #

eh, she looks the same as always.

  6. Elle July 10, 2013 at 17:56 #

As stunning as Rosie is, that skirt is lacking a whole lot of class!

  7. dee July 10, 2013 at 18:14 #

She doesn’t look stunning to me. Not digging this.

  8. Anj July 10, 2013 at 18:14 #

This looks really weird to me in a bad way. The skirt is fine but the bandeau looks like she’s got a chest injury and that’s gauze wrap. There’s also way too much spacing above and below the bandeau. Not a good look.

  9. gabis July 10, 2013 at 18:26 #

I only like the skirt and even so not totally because I prefer longer ones. Her sandals are very blah, hair looks terrible and the bandeau is just not a good choice. She should’ve included the overlay even if as a modified shorter version of it.

This look would suit someone such as Rihanna because she has the personality that goes with it. RHW has seen better days :-(

    • nh July 10, 2013 at 22:45 #

      I agree

I don’t get the appeal of this. She obviously conforms to the current ideal of beauty with her body, but I don’t seen how this outfit brings out or underscores any of it. It’s a too long skirt with some cut outs on the side and some garment to cover her chest.

  12. TeaAtTwo July 10, 2013 at 23:06 #

Rosie is smoking hot but this horrible ensemble needs to burnt and discarded.

  13. Marybeth July 10, 2013 at 23:11 #

If this were a poolside party in Vegas, I’d like it quite a bit. But for a black-tie soiree? No.
Everything about this, from the skin-exposure to the beachy hair to the almost neon lipstick to the body jewelry screams “daytime” to me.

  14. KatieKate July 11, 2013 at 01:54 #

Well, looks as if FC and I are in the minority here–VAST minority–but I like it too. It’s very au courant, and we’re so much more afraid of skin, at least in America, than in Australia. I think it was prob plenty appropriate for the event.

    • KatieKate July 11, 2013 at 01:55 #

And as for that overlay, you’re right FC–fat chance!

I feel like the dad in clueless- to paraphrase who says thats a dress????

    • Elle July 11, 2013 at 12:32 #

Haha well, it seems that Calvin Klein has been saying it since 1995!

  16. Valissa July 11, 2013 at 05:55 #

I might have liked this more had the skirt been hemmed, had she worn it for a daytime event and had it been summer in Australia….it’s just not working otherwise.

But on the poisitive side, her make-up is flawless and she looks beautiful!

  17. sanya July 11, 2013 at 22:25 #

She looks lovely as usual, I only wish she wears more colors. Recently, she was always in white.
