Fan Bingbing and actor Aarif Lee helped cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony of a new Louis Vuitton store in Shenyang, China on Tuesday last week.
She was, of course, decked out in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton, but the end result is uncharacteristically bad, even by Bingbing’s often kooky standards.
Her green cashmere scoop-neck top and silk floral skirt with a lace hem appears very grannyish on the 31-year-old actress, lacking the sliver of sex appeal this look had on the runway.
I want to blame that wig, but factor in those clunky LV shoes she loves so much and we have a strong contender for ‘Looks We Didn’t Love in 2013’.

so ugly…bad taste
I never imagined I would put a Fan Bing Bing’s look on the WDOTY list. Tragic.
With the wig and the expression on her face, she looks like a painted doll. Her look has a vintage vibe but it is too everyday looking. The bag passes but the shoes are hideous. To be true to the vintage look, her bag and shoes should match. Overall, disappointing.
Head and toe, i.e. wig and shoes, are blergh. The rest in between is okay, just okay.
This really reminds of the late 90s aesthetic, the whole Kate Moss vintage-shabby-chic thing, pairing a slip that once belonged to someone’s grandmother with a shrunken angora knit. Good times.
One word – tragic.
I would absolutely wear his suit, really nice.
It looks like a costume
+1
The wig, bag and shoes are dreadful. The skirt and top are nice though.
Those last season shoes should remain squarely where they belong–in last season. I also think the bag brings the look down-wrong choice. That furry one on the runway would have been much better suited.
The wig and the shoes are so bad and the overall look is too granny-like. Definitely a strong contender for ‘Looks We Didn’t Love in 2013’.
