I’m so excited that Maggie Gyllenhaal is in a big-budget film ‘White House Down’ and on the red carpet circuit. The indie-darling isn’t typically a red carpet fixture, and I’m just loving seeing her effortlessly adorable style event after event. She is rocking the pixie cut better than anyone right now, and she’s been embracing the bright pink lip lately, and doing it with flair.
To get all the details on her fresh and flushed look from the New York City premiere of White House Down on Tuesday, we went straight to her makeup artist, Molly R. Stern.
Stern began by spritzing Caudalie Beauty Elixir on Maggie’s face, and then massaged BY TERRY Serum De Rose and Natura Bisse C+C Vitamin Cream into her skin. This prepped the skin with anti-aging and smoothing properties.
Next, Stern applied a light coat of Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation to even out the complexion.
On Maggie’s cheeks, Stern applied Flower Beauty Win Some, Rouge Some Crème Blush in Pure Petunia as a base, followed by a dusting of CARGO Blush in Catalina for an added flush.
For the eyes, Stern dabbed VS Makeup Hypergloss Eye Shimmer in Golden Lights Gold on her lids and a light dusting of NARS Matte Eyeshadow in Sophia under the lash line.
Then she layered BY TERRY Terrybly Mascara in Black Parti-Pris and Moka Brown to extend the look of Maggie’s lashes naturally.
Finally, Stern applied Flower Beauty Kiss Stick High-Shine Lip Color in LS12 Sweet Peony all over Maggie’s lips, followed by the same lipstick in LS16 Petunia Petals just in the center to give her lips a subtle punch and added pout.
