Sarah Jessica Parker In Marc Jacobs – Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Press Night

Sarah Jessica Parker In Marc Jacobs - Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Press Night

It was very much a family affair on the red carpet for the ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ press night held at the Theatre Royal in London this evening, as Sarah Jessica Parker, Mathew Broderick and James Wilkie Broderick were in attendance.

Sarah sparkled wearing a Marc Jacobs Resort 2014 black-and-gold sequin long-sleeved 60s-style scoop-neck dress styled with simple black pumps and a multi-coloured patchwork Fendi baguette.

I’m surprised to find myself irked by the baguette and not the black pumps – mostly because I would’ve preferred a clutch – however, I should be thankful it wasn’t a cross-body bag.

Matthew looked very smart in a dark suit, pink shirt and striped tie, while young James Wilkie looked really dapper in his summery white suit styled with a gingham shirt and striped tie. He clearly gets this fashion flair from his mother.

I’m not feeling this look. I dislike the bag, the shoes are boring and something keeps me from liking the dress.

I really don’t like the bag and it’s not working with this dress ! I don’t mind the black pumps but the dress doesn’t flaterring her.

Well, I love the dress, and I like the baguette–sorry, but not EVERY single occasion mandates a minaudiere. I find this occasion and ensemble perfectly appropriate for this cute, and still super dressy bag. I also think anything other than basic black pumps would have totally overcooked this look. Sometimes they are super boring, and sometimes a black heel is just necessary. All said, I’m pretty surprised b/c I’m usually not that much of a SJP fan…

I don¨t know why but I think she looks good in this. She has the right attitude for this dress.

She looks like she is wearing one of the chocolate wrappers.

I like the dress and I like the bag better in the shots where you can see it head-on. But, even more, I like her little boy–what a total cutie!

Agree completely!! Love the look even with the bag and black pumps, and the boy is cuteee :)

The dress is great on her, and the simple pumps work well with it, the bag is an eyesore.
