Maria Sharapova In Burberry Prorsum – Pre-Wimbledon Party

Maria Sharapova In Burberry Prorsum - Pre-Wimbledon Party

Maria Sharapova attended the annual pre-Wimbledon party held at Kensington Roof Gardens in London alongside the one lady she will be trying to beat during the Championship, Serena Williams.

I was shocked to see her not wearing an Alexander McQueen dress, as her wearing McQueen at this event is much like Fan Bingbing wearing a traditional look to the opening ceremony of Cannes Film Festival. But, like the Asian actress, Maria decided to break with tradition this year and opt for a Burberry Prorsum look.

Upon seeing her black-and-white confetti sleeveless degrade calfskin dress, the phrase ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ sprang to mind because, between the dress, the accessories, the hair and the heavy kohl-rimmed eyes, I find this look terribly aging on Maria.

I love the dress, but I agree that the whole look is a bit aging.

I agree that this look makes her older a bit, and the the dress doesn’t do a favour for her shoulders because she is an athlete.

Neck down the look is good, but neck up its so aging !! I love the dress, but she made it very boring with the makeup and hair.

I don t like it on her. The belt doesn t seem to be on the right place and she looks so big in the shoulder area and flat-chested. Not flattering at all and she doesn t seem to feel comfortable in this dress.

With a shorter hemline, different shoes, hair and makeup this could’ve been a good look. But the way it was put together though definitely turned it to an aging look.

I don’t think this is aging at all. I think she looks sexy and sophisticated.

    She looks ok.

Lovely dress, but totally NOT for her, and that is not the right belt with it.

Clearly I’m alone in this opinion, but I love the whole look! I think it’s chic and grownup, which is far better for her athletic figure than the girly little dresses she sometimes tends towards.
