2013 Tony Awards Red Carpet Round Up

Tony Awards 1

Here is a roundup of the rest of the stars who took to the red carpet at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City for the 2013 Tony Awards on Sunday evening.

Sally Field: The ‘Lincoln’ actress wore a dark-green Giorgio Armani crepe gown with part of the bodice featuring draped satin detail and embellishments. She styled her gown with Jacob & Co. jewels.

Laura Benanti: The actress was glowing, wearing a vibrant electric-blue Randi Rahm gown styled with a silver Lauren Merkin clutch and Fred Leighton jewels.

Audra McDonald: The beautiful actress opted for a black-and-white on-trend David Meister colour-block strapless gown.

Tony Awards 3

Sigourney Weaver: The actress wore a cobalt one shoulder Michael Kors gown and gold python clutch both from the Resort 2013 collection.

Valisia LeKae: She worked a very vivacious Esosa gown styled with Swarovski clutch and jewelry.

Debra Messing: The actress wore a Matthew Christopher Marchi Sobaski dress, Fred Leighton jewelry, a Judith Leiber clutch, and Brian Atwood shoes. This is one of my least favourite look from the actress.

Tony Awards 2

Laura Osnes: The actress also opted for a Randi Rahm gown, but she selected an elaborate black lace gown with a voluminous tulle skirt.

Jane Lynch: Often criticized for getting it wrong on the red carpet, the ‘Glee’ actress opted for a black-and-white Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit, and has never looked more comfortable.

Shalita Grant: The actress sparkled wearing a Theia Fall 2012 sheer black gown decorated with silver embellishments, which she styled with a black Laura Merkin clutch and Forevermark jewels.

The seniors (specifically Sally Field and Sigourney Weaver) put the others to shame — except for Audra McDonald, who looks wonderful. She is my favorite of these and definitely one of my top 3 of the night.

No surprises here, except for how much I find myself liking Laura’s dress. I shouldn’t, those blossoms (?) on the skirts really aren’t my thing usually, but somehow I don’t mind them.

Def. Audra McDonald, chic and on-trend.

Laura B. and Audra take this for me, but Jane looks great too. I think Shalita and Sigourney are snoozies, and although totally OTT, for whatever reason I am digging both Laura O.’s and Valisa’s looks. I have absolutely nothing nice to say about Debra. Ugg….

Most Tony nominees do not get access to great red carpet gowns. Most designer won’t lend them to bway actors for some reason. Laura Osnes’ and Valisia Lekae’s are tragic. My faves of the night were Anna Kendrick and Patina Miller who wore Zac Posen. Also loved Audra.
