Rashida Jones In Erdem – Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013

Rashida Jones In Erdem - Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013

Rashida Jones lounged around the red carpet at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013, where she picked up the Filmmaker prize, on Tuesday at London’s Berkeley Square Gardens.

Donning her bedroom best, she tried out a dark navy look from Erdem’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection that was splashed with a bright English garden floral print.

She wore a modified version from the designer’s lookbook, sans the matching, sheer organza cape, but I wonder if it would have added some interesting drama while lessening the PJs effect.

There’s no doubt the pyjama silhouette is hot right now. I’m just not sure this trendy ensemble was working for the occasion, despite Rashida’s efforts to dress it up with metallic-and-black pumps and a bold red lippie.

Does this look strike you as way cool, or just too casual?

this must be some very expensive pajamas

      Same thought here…
It’d have been better with some colourful shoes and clutch, maybe. To add another focal point, distracting from the “pijamaness” of the whole outfit.

This looks so casual, like she got up and decided to miss even bothering to change from her PJs before the event. The print is ok. It is the pyjama cut of the outfit that looks ridiculous. It does absolutely nothing to flatter the female form. Thumbs down for me.

I have NEVER liked this look. Rashida is no exception.

In general I don’t like the pyjama trend. It might work in some cases as casual chic but certainly not for this occasion. A big miss for me.

Omg, florals just make it worse. I could pick this look up at any big box, discount or department store in America — on the women’s sleepwear rack.

This goes beyond the pyjama trend. Legit looks like ACTUAL pyjamas.

  7. Yeliz June 5, 2013 at 08:51 #

I like the print but that’s it.

Awful. The pyjama ‘trend’ is a fad that needs to go away. Keep it for the slumber parties. The print is lovely but that’s the only good thing about it.

    Simply ridiculous!

I feel that she should have kept the trousers and put on a simpler top – to break up the pyjama effect. Or perhaps just worn the cape on simple black trousers? The print is lovely, the outfit just needed to be more red carpet appropriate. That being said I can imagine that some other actresses/models/mockstresses would have been closer to pulling this off as they would have styled it better and generally are more stylish than Rashida.

    Nice PJs.

Absolutely silly. I wouldn’t even wear thease as pajamas. Maybe my mother would. LOL

    I like this look.

Love the gold trim on the pajamas and shoes.

The gold trim on the pajamas and shoes are nice.

It is a beautiful print, but I think maybe a bit too tight. I always thought the “pajama” look was for entertaining at home or maybe on a casual vacation. I love me some pajamas, but I would never wear this out in public.

Nice print, but I really dislike the style. And her bangs are always so bad.
