Rachel Bilson In Chanel – Chanel Dinner For NRDC ‘A Celebration Of Art, Nature And Technology’

Rachel Bilson In Chanel - Chanel Dinner For NRDC 'A Celebration Of Art, Nature And Technology'

We were somewhat underwhelmed by Rachel Bilson’s last look during Cannes Film Festival, but she was back in top form on Friday evening while attending the Chanel Dinner for NRDC’s ‘A Celebration of Art, Nature and Technology’ held at a private residence in Los Angeles, California.

The beautiful actress wore a look from the Chanel Resort 2013 collection.

Her floral strapless frock with a high-low hemline and tiered skirt was effortlessly styled with silver ShoeMint ‘Shiva’ strappy sandals.

Beautywise, Rachel usually keeps things very simple, but on this occasion she opted for a tousled braided ponytail and sultry kohl-rimmed eyes.

Do you love this look, or is it a pretty shapeless sad sack of a dress?

It’s the former for me.

I actually love this! I think the tiers of the dress give it some interesting dimension. It’s not the most flattering dress, but it seems to be fitting of Rachel’s romantic yet playful aesthetic.

+1..the tiers along with pretty colors make it a very romantic and playful look..

I really like this look. The dress looks way better on her than on the model and her shoes, hair and makeup are gorgeous.

      +1

+1 i’m surprised at how much I love this look. The shoes are perfection with this look

At first glance, I did not like this look. But the more I look at it I like it.

I think she looks lovely but the dress is not very beautiful and flattering.

Really love this. I’m surprised Chanel still lends her stuff though.

She is the lead on a TV show that’s going on its 3rd season and above all, she comes from money lol.

I’m more surprised people still want to wear Chanel stuff. Seriously…overrated…living on history…don’t even love the bags

She’s the star of Hart of Dixie, plus she has worked with Karl Lagerfeld on projects in the past so they go pretty far back.

Chanel’s people are quite easy when it comes to lend R-T-W clothes I think. They lend them to unknown, upcoming actresses so why wouldn’t Rachel get them? She’s currently on a hit TV show, she has worked with Karl on various projects (Magnum), she always shows support to the brand so I think she would probably get whatever she wants.

    The dress is awful.

I think she looks beautiful. The dress really suits her. Her hair and makeup are gorgeous. I really love this look.

  8. justme June 1, 2013 at 18:46 #

Sadly, it’s the latter for me.
I really like Rachel but you have to be tall to even have a possibilty to pull this dress off.
I also dislike the hair. That’s the type of lazy braid you do before going to bed.

    The shoes are pretty though.

She wears this dress so charmingly, love it.

I don’t particularly like the dress on the model but I do like it on Rachel. Her styling and personality make it work very well. Thumbs up!

I am not usually that much of a Rachel Bilson fan, in general, but I actually think she made me like her more with this look. It is spot on–feminine, sweetly sexy, effortless, and chic. A+ in my book, and that’s saying something.

Wow, no-one can say she isn’t trying to make this work! The shoes are a great addition and her pose with her arms stiffly by her body speaks desperation. “Pretty shapeless sad sack of a dress” hits it on the head for me. And I’m pretty sure she knows.

  13. MaddyEliza June 1, 2013 at 23:53 #

Man I really want to like this but I just can’t. :(

She’s selling it! She’s making a rather horrible dress look lovely and ethereal. The silver shoes are just right, and her posture and smile all take the dress from frumpy and overdone to floaty and fun. I like it, despite really not liking the dress.

  15. Ariel June 3, 2013 at 11:24 #

Looks cheap, like maid of curtains. I like everything else but the dress.

  16. Ariel June 3, 2013 at 11:24 #

    * made, not * maid

  17. EmmaWoodhouse June 11, 2013 at 14:15 #

It’s cute but nothing very special. A little too flimsy/floaty/drapy without a strong style to recommend it.
