Best Dressed, Blog, Cannes Film Festival
Like the 1st day Nicole Kidman & Zhang Yuqi for me.
1. Carey Mulligan
2. Nicole Kidman
3. Zhang Yuqi
Very Easy. Nicole Kidman!
My top two were Nicole and Aishwarya… Voted for Aishwarya .
Thanks FC, for blogging over the weekend also… Cannes is special becos of your blogging and commentary.
i went for jessica biel but cannes this year failing in providing any wow moments for me :/
Aishwarya Rai in Elie Saab Couture
Runner up: Nicole Kidman in L’Wren Scott
Carey Mulligan, she looks elegant with the look, and the simplicity proves that less is more.
Agree with Charlotte above, there hasn’t been a “WOW” moment at Cannes this year!
I adore Aishwarya Rai’s dress and she has the beauty and presence for it. I’m pretty sure that she would have been my favorite had she worn her hair up.
I really like Zhang Yuqi and Carey Mulligan too, in that order. (ZY’s dress is so Cannes-worthy!)
AISHWARYA RAI best…
Underwhelming…if I had to pick, it would be Zhang Yuqi.
I feel like each person is missing something and I can’t really put my finger on what. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by Diane Kruger’s perfect styling. I want the same drama that we saw last year (i.e. Diane Kruger in the Dior checkered gown).
Easy for me Nicole Kidman all the way.
FC- off topic, I know she wasn’t covered but did you like Zhang Yuqi in Roland Mouret at ‘The Blind Detective’ premiere?
Great coverage btw, just what I need during exam time.
Busy covering the Billboard awards..
and the gown is not Roland Mouret
I think it’s Monique Lhuillier. It is a lovely gown.
Wow, they all look absolutely gorgeous but for some reason, I’m drawn to Aishwarya!
2ND – Zhang Yuqi
3RD – Carey Mulligan
1. Aishwarya–LOVE it.
2. Jessica–her best look ever.
3. Nicole–really quite fab.
4. Zhang Yuqi–not perfect, but I like the color and the drama.
5. Kirsten–not everyone liked it but I appreciate the offbeat elegance.
Aishwarya is the pride of india….she always makes us proud..
I love it Aishwarya Rai……best forever
Hands down Aishwarya Rai. She is the only Indian Actress I know. She looks gorgeous in the Elie Saab gown.
Next one is Nicole Kidman.
1. Zhang Yuqi
2. Aishwarya Rai
3. Carey Mulligan
AISHWARIYA RAI THE BEST DRESSED……
I disliked Nicole, Jessica and Kirsten. Zhang was good, Carey was good (but why does she look a bit grim…come on, you are with JT and he is HOT)..so I voted for Aishwarya. She has given us an Elie Saab that doesn’t bring on feelings of fatigue or deja-vu. The gown itself speaks of sadness and drama, moody if you will, and her styling while a little unimaginative, was good enough. And she is certainly beautiful enough to carry such a wonderful creation.
Aishwarya Rai is really the epitome of tacky – a sparkling Morticia Addams.
Dear ggg when will we stop pulling down aishwarya…..does she really needs to prove anything all the time…..she isnt wearing artificial lenses and she doesnt need to….FYI
M not an aishwarya fan though….but its just not ryt to keep criticizing here for no reason….she embodies grace and confidence…..and has guts to walk down the red carpet in plus size(last year)…isnt that proof enough how real or fake is she? Every individual has their own personality…wht nandita das does….probably aish cant….but wht aish does….nandita can definitely not….so relax buds
Why o why?
i meant that comment for ggg Ash looks beautiful…i don’t think i will look like her when i hit 40
and more important: she IS beautiful and authentic
