Paz Vega In Stéphane Rolland Couture – ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Paz Vega In Stéphane Rolland Spring 2013 Couture - 'Jimmy P (Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian)' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Paz Vega took to the red carpet this evening for the ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian)’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival at Grand Théâtre Lumière in France this evening.

I think Cheryl Cole had a lucky escape, because this Stéphane Rolland Spring 2013 Couture gown is just a mess.

The sheer part midway down the legs is what ruins it.

But overall it just looks unfinished and sloppy. Her lacklustre styling is not helping matters either.

This is my least favourite look so far both from the designer and the event.

Chopard jewels completed her look.

This is comically bad. Why do people keep wearing the looks from this collection? Jennifer Lawrence and Marion Cottillard tried and failed already.

It looks quite interesting on the runway, I can see how it works. But it just didn’t translate onto the red carpet well… This is a really hard dress to pull off.

Oh man, this is so bad. I keep hoping her next look will be great but she is going backwards instead. Not good, on the runway and off.

    o_o…. No

Sweet Buddha! When I asked her to bring back the Stéphane Rolland couture a few days ago, I DEFINITELY didn’t mean this loool.

Fashion wise, she’s having the worst Cannes so far.

      ITA and lmao!

No, doesn’t work. This Stephane Rolland creation is poorly conceived, and a contrived attempt at high-fashion, never mind ‘couture’. No woman can make this look work, not even a mannequin..

I wonder how you walk in this without tripping over? How did she get talked into wearing this? Or even worse, did she choose it herself? It is a truly ugly, unflattering mess.

This is just as bad as the Swan Dress of Bjork. I like Stephane Rolland as one of my top designer picks.

  10. Dhppy May 18, 2013 at 21:52 #

Oh boy. I actually laughed when I saw this. What a mess! At least she looked amazing in her sheer black Elie Saab. That should comfort her.

  11. Noemi May 18, 2013 at 21:36 #

There’s too much going on in this dress, so, to me it’s ugly. Cheryl Cole looks much better.
But this woman has gorgeous hair.

  12. Marybeth May 18, 2013 at 19:20 #

    Almost unbelievably ugly.

    • EmmaWoodhouse May 18, 2013 at 20:43 #

+1 This is beyond ridiculous. It’s…awkward, like I just want to say “Girl, your skirt is falling down” except that that’s how it’s SUPPOSED to look. The top is flabby, overly revealing mess, and the sheer insert is just the most unfortunate design choice I’ve seen. WHAT a disappointment. Hopefully another SR design can appear on the RC and redeem the designer.

    This look is just bad.

FC, you mistakenly tagged this Stella McCartney Collection.

She is so damn beautiful and this dress is so damn hideous.
    I just…there are no words.

  15. Yeliz May 18, 2013 at 18:50 #

This is just bad, equally worse like all those tacky Cavalli gowns at the opening ceremony. Would’ve never thought that I would say that about a Rolland gown.

  16. Lola May 18, 2013 at 18:31 #

    It seemed like a good idea…. – hell nooooooo….

  17. Pablo May 18, 2013 at 18:30 #

I’m surprised: I’m neither a Paz Vega fan nor a fan of sheer inserts, yet I’m quite liking this look.

It’s got some much needed drama, the feathered hem is gorgeous and I think the simple styling prevents it from being too costumey. Thumbs up from me.

    • Jai May 18, 2013 at 18:34 #

Yeah, for some reason I don’t hate this. I like the minimalism combined with drama and simple styling.

  18. Nat39 May 18, 2013 at 18:29 #

This is really bad, what an awful design. The top part is droopy, the skirt seems to be falling off. This looks horrible.

    • Christine May 18, 2013 at 20:36 #

      A hot mess.

  19. DSI May 18, 2013 at 18:27 #

Pathetic! No one is shutting down the red-carpet today I guess. So perhapsI shud shut down my lap-top now?

    • Prudence May 18, 2013 at 18:44 #

      ahaha I feel you!!
Today is not a good day. This is veryyyy aweful.

      • Rashmi May 18, 2013 at 19:09 #

I am with you both.. Had to be the most disappointing day even with big fashion girls..
And there are no words how awful is this. I just wanna cover the sheer part

Personnally I really like it! This is the Stéphane Rolland unique red carpet moment I needed! ♥♥
