Sara Forestier In Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘Le Passe’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Sara Forestier In Giambattista Valli Couture - ‘Le Passe’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Sara Forestier took to the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals for the premiere for ‘Le Passé’ during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in France this evening.

The French actress selected an on-trend black-and-white frock from the Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture collection.

Her unique above-the-knee white dress with a double layered skirt and black velvet appliqués was styled with a delightful pair of ruby red t-bar pumps; however, I would have sacrificed those amazing pumps for a better hairstyle.

I’m not a fan of the limp ‘do with this gorgeous frock.

What say you?

Such an amazing look except for the hair, but underwhelming for Cannes. Would’ve loved this look at any other occasion (even with that limp ‘do).

This amazing dress deserved a better hairstyle! But I like the choice of red shoes.

    Love!

The dress is sharp and unique. I appreciate her attempt to spice it up with the red shoes but I don’t think it’s working, they distract from the sharp black-and-white drama of the look, the pop of colour via red lippie would’ve sufficed. The hair is awful and really brings the look down.

      Agree on all counts!

Like the dress, love the shoes, but her hair is really letting her down. Looks windy.

Hair aside, I absolutely dig this. I thought it was Chanel. The dress is gorgeous and I like that she didn’t wear black shoes.

This is just okay for me. I don’t care for the wing look. I am waiting for the day when designers and stylist really take the red carpet seriously. Sometimes trying to create a design or style that stands out, puts the designer and stylist in a embarrassing situation. Many stars need to take a look in the mirror before stepping out on the red carpet. Dress according to the event, but do it with class.

Pair it with an updo and you have an amazing photocall look. But for a premiere? At Cannes? Underwhelmed.
