Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji – ‘Fruitvale Station’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji - 'Fruitvale Station' Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Octavia Spencer attended the ‘Fruitvale Station’ photocall this afternoon during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals in France.

No prizes for guessing that she’s wearing Tadashi Shoji.

Not only because the Asian designer is her go-to guy, but also because her lace frock is distinctive of his style and his Spring 2013 and Fall 2012 collections, which feature several lacy confections.

Metallic gold Robert Clergerie ‘Querrye’ ankle boots completed her look.

I can’t wait to see what Tadashi has created for his muse this evening.

Once again, she and Tadashi are right on the money. That color looks gorgeous on her.

She’s beautiful. I love her hair and the dress is beautiful. Not a fan of the shoes though.

She looks great and seems so sweet. I think she should give her stylist’s number to Lena Dunham. Just saying…

Normally I would not expect a drop waist to be flattering on her but she looks absolutely fab. The color, the lace, the cream peeking through–it’s gorgeous. Here’s to tonight!!!

Yes! A drop waist and pleated skirt. I wouldn’t think either would suit her and yet it totally works. Tadashi Shoji is a genius.
      She looks lovely.

I’m sorry but I don’t think this dress is flattering on her at all. After reading the comments it appears I am in the minority. I don’t really find that the neckline works on a woman with such a full bust line. Rather than accentuate her figure it gives her a boxy look.

It’s called politically correctness. If somebody else had worn this, maybe people would have found flaws everywhere.
I think the dress itself is really cute, most of all the skirt, but the neckline doesn’t flatter her, a simple roundneck maybe would have been better. The shoes are gorgeous.

Love her hair. She looks good but not her best look.
