‘Fruitvale Station’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

'Fruitvale Station' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The ‘Fruitvale Station’ premiere took place during Cannes Film Festival this evening following the photocall earlier today.

Octavia Spencer: As expected, the actress wore a Tadashi Shoji custom gown. We’ve seen the actress don many gowns in shade of cream, lavender, black and blue, but never a fiery hue like this red tulle-and-lace draped cape sleeve gown. The colour is so striking and the style so very flattering.

Ahna O’Reilly: The actress selected an ivory fully sequined Elie Saab one-sleeve gown with cut-outs at the waist.

Melonie Diaz: Like Octavia, Melonie also opted for a bold colour wearing an Emilio Pucci sea-blue chiffon gown accented with a black beaded belt and styled with silver jewels. Once again she worked a bold lip colour.

All three women are stunning from the ankles up. My favourite is Octavia.

All three look good, but Octavia is my hands down favorite. Melonie is a distant second.

Olivia is my fave of the 3. I love that dress.

Octavia looks stunning from the neck down. Her hair did go with her photocall look, but it doesn’t work here. The gown, however, fits her like a glove. The colour is gorgeous on her and I like the complementary sandals.

Love Ahna’s look. The gown is beautiful and I’m glad she kept it simple.

Melonie’s gown is amazing, but I don’t like neither those shoes nor the lip colour with this look.

Octavia would be my favourite of the three as well, although I’m not feeling the shoes.

I really want to love Octavia’s look but the shoes are not working for me. My favorite is Ahna.

Wow. Red, white and blue. Stunned by the red on Octavia Spencer, love seeing her in a bold color. I like the the others as well.

    They all three look lovely!
I would have to pick Octavia as my favorite based on the color alone. Gorgeous!

All three ladies look beautiful. Perfect Fitted gowns. Kudos for all three!

Ahna was in The Help too, wasn’t she?
Octavia looks lovely! She always gets it so right. I might have changed the shoe, but that’s it.
Ahna’s dress is pretty beading-wise but I don’t really like the one-sleeve, slightly baggy fit, or waist cutout. I love the color of Melonie’s dress but the fabric looks a little cheap.

whoa! never seen you sum up an Elie Saab in one line! :) keep up the good work, FC!

Well, it is nothing we haven’t seen several times before

It annoys me how everytime someone who doesn’t fit into the skinny standard” walks the red carpet you just have to mention whether the dress is flattering or not. You do it everytime!

Love Octavia in red! All three dresses are lovely, as are the ladies.
