Paz Vega In Roberto Cavalli – ‘The Great Gatsby’ Premiere & Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Paz Vega In Roberto Cavalli - ‘The Great Gatsby’ Premiere & Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Paz Vega rounded out a trio of looks from Roberto Cavalli on the red carpet this evening at ‘The Great Gatsby’ Cannes Film Festival premiere, which also serves as the Opening Ceremony this evening.

Even though her gown features long sleeves and a shorter plunge than the other two, this look still screams glam.

A shimmering web-like crystal-embroidered tulle gown worn over a corseted piece is the perfect way to announce your arrival at this festival – Cavalli and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Side-swept curls, complementary Ferragamo peep-toes and a silver Ferragamo box clutch completed her look.

Who wins the battle of the Cavalli Angels?

    This is bad. Really bad.

Agreed. This is taking the sheer look to the extreme and what’s underneath is not pretty.

ITA. Unappealing. Unattractive. Not very classy at all.

  2. Clare May 15, 2013 at 17:51 #

    Definitely Paz Vega wins!

I’m usually on board with Paz’s style but this is not good at all. She needs to bring back the Stéphane Rolland couture.

I love Paz, but this definitely not her best look. All this sheer looks tacky.

I’m not wowed by any of the Cavalli looks so far.

Not a fan of the sheer. If only it weren’t sheer it would be gorgeous.

It’s sooo bad, she had impecable taste, this is the opposite of taste and I’m sorry to say and it’s not very nice of me but she looks like a drag queen here.

  7. dee May 15, 2013 at 18:03 #

    I don’t like this.

Add me to all the underwhelmed above. None of the three dresses is especially great. This one is the worst… and I agree… tacky… and yes, drag queeny… a cheap look.

The corseted piece is rather unappealing, but I love the delicate web-like overlay, it’s gorgeous, and she certainly has the body, stature and poise to carry off this tricky look. I don’t dislike it at all, and she is easily the best of the 3 Cavalli Angels for me.

This dress is tacky, but that’s not a surprise since it’s Cavalli. She always looks so good when wearing Stephane Rolland…

Not feeling it. Looks ice skater ish

  12. Kristen May 15, 2013 at 18:27 #

    hideous

  13. kane May 15, 2013 at 19:08 #

Wow. And not in a good way.

  14. Moxie May 15, 2013 at 19:29 #

I like it from the waist up, but the sheer legs are not working for me.

  15. Mari May 15, 2013 at 19:41 #

This is Cannes. One of the places to be daring. Her natural elegance permits her to do this.

  16. effieee May 16, 2013 at 00:35 #

She looks amazing. This dress is the perfect dress for a premiere of The Great Gatsby, giving off a slight flapper/art deco vibe without being too obvious.
The only thing that would’ve improved this look is if the lining matched her skin tone.

It looks like a 50s swimsuit with a negligee overlay. The boxy cut of the legs is very unflattering. Nay for me.

  18. EmmaWoodhouse May 16, 2013 at 04:10 #

NAY to the sheer trend! Send it away! Yes, the detailing is beautiful, but his look is tacky again…3 out of 3 misses for Cavalli in my book.

I normally love Paz but this is feeling a little drag queenish.

I don’t really like any of the Cavalli looks from this event. Georgia was probably the better of the not so great.
