Isla Fisher In Oscar de la Renta – ‘The Great Gatsby’ Premiere & Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Isla Fisher In Oscar de la Renta - ‘The Great Gatsby’ Premiere & Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Isla Fisher took her spot on a rain soaked red carpet this evening as one of the stars of ‘The Great Gatsby’ which opened Cannes Film Festival.

The Australian actress stood out wearing an Oscar de la Renta strapless red/gold dress with multiple choppy layers.

On this occasion, I tend to favour a bare neck with a strapless gown, but her multi-coloured Bulgari Heritage statement necklace enhances her look and prevents it from feeling too one-dimensional, as does her serpent watch from the same collection

Red lips would’ve been too obvious, so she selected a copper colour which closely matches her hair colour.

Wavy tresses provided the finishing touches.

Too predictable, but she still manages to look stunning.

      Well said.

      I agree 100%.

OMG! She looks amazing! I am shocked, I didn’t expected so much from her!!!

Not the wow! effect, but lovely. I think this is the first time I think of Isla as a redhead Amy Adams. Maybe it’s Oscar’s fault :)

I would’ve preferred statement earrings instead of a statement necklace. The gown isn’t something we didn’t saw before, but she still looks beautiful in it.

Love the necklace, and her hair is gorgeous, the gown is nothing to get excited about, it’s just all right.

      I agree.

      + 2

I take your point about the dress and tend to I agree, but not least because of the necklace I don’t care, loving it!

I am officially in love with this woman’s hair! The dress is nothing out of the ordinary…the whole package is still glamorous

  7. Moxie May 15, 2013 at 20:55 #

Gorgeous hair, but with that necklace she should have pulled it up.

  8. Bella May 15, 2013 at 21:04 #

Isla Fisher looks stunning in those colours. Just a shame that the Bulgari necklace isn’t showing more. IMO, it would look even better worn with a white strapless dress, so the emerald, amethyst, and yellow pop!

Love her hair but she should have pulled it up. I find the wavy lock somehow ‘clashes’ with the all the ruffles on the bottom part of the dress.

overall, this is just an ok look for me.

    • AG May 16, 2013 at 03:22 #

I totally agree about the hair competing with the ruffles on the dress! Very underwhelmed by this look.

  10. Amy May 15, 2013 at 21:22 #

love the jewelry but the dress is meh.

  11. Aline May 15, 2013 at 21:30 #

It looks like she’s about to break into dancing flamenco. This feels so dated.

  12. kathryn May 15, 2013 at 21:40 #

I love the necklace but not with her styling. I think she should have worn her hair up because it’s a little too much going on and you don’t really get the full effect of the necklace. The dress is beautiful!

  13. fromchi-town May 15, 2013 at 21:42 #

She looks good, but there’s nothing to get excited about the dress. Its something we have seen before, but the color keeps it interesting.

  14. gabis May 15, 2013 at 21:43 #

Her amazingly gorgeous waves and necklace really bring this look to life. I love it head to toe.

  15. Christine May 16, 2013 at 02:18 #

    Not breathtaking but nice.

  16. Alicat May 16, 2013 at 02:57 #

She looks beautiful and I love the standout colour. She has amazing hair but here it does need to be off her shoulders to compliment the strapless gown and show off that statement necklace.

  17. Markness May 16, 2013 at 03:35 #

She looks gorgeous. I love the look on her. It’s just that the design isn’t anything special. Those jewels save it. :)

  18. EmmaWoodhouse May 16, 2013 at 04:23 #

I love the skirt, and the necklace–the bodice is too predictable, and her hair (though gorgeous) is overwhelming her a bit. However, it’s still a nice look.

if only she had done something else with her hair like a sexy messy bun i would have liked it better. her coppery tresses r gorgeous but they would have served her better tied up bcoz they overpower that beautiful bulgari necklace.

  20. Jess2 May 16, 2013 at 14:17 #

Gorgeous, I love the unexpected additions by Bulgari!

  21. Louise May 16, 2013 at 14:53 #

    Not feeling it at all…

  22. jeje June 7, 2013 at 23:18 #
